Charms Spells And Formulas

Charms Spells And Formulas Cover

Book: Charms Spells And Formulas by Ray Malbrough

How would you like to increase the power of your magick? Now you can, with the help of real Louisiana Hoodoo. In Charms, Spells & Formulas, you'll find rituals and recipes for incenses, oils, powders and washes that you can use to make changes in your life. But that's just the beginning. You'll learn the secrets of how to make gris-gris bag charms for any purpose. You also get full Instructions on how to set up your altar and perform the ritual to charge the bag so that it becomes a powerful magical tool. Need to improve your health or love life? Make a gris-gris bag!
You'll also learn how to make magical dolls from cloth and clay, and how to increase the power of magical candles by adding herbs to them.
Do you think you might have been given the "evil eye?" You'll learn how to overcome it with the instructions given here. The book also includes full instructions on how to use prayers and Bible psalms to solve your problems.

Charms, Spells & Formulas is an excellent Introductory book for those who follow paths other than Wicca. In fact, I think that it is better suited for those who are interested in voodoo or some variant thereof. The one thing that I did not like about this book is that I wanted it to be longer! There is a wide variety of information and I feel that Ray Malbrough did an excellent job touching base on so many different topics. It contains associations on colors, herbs, candles, and more. It goes into a little detail about voodoo practices and the blending in of Catholicism. I highly suggest that readers who enjoyed this book check out Malbrough's "The Magical Power of the Saints," which goes into greater detail on the Saints than what was briefly touched upon in this book, along with explaining novenas and the 7 day candles. As a non-Wiccan Witch that practices the style of magic as presented in these books, I feel that both are excellent and are ones that I continually refer to.

"charms spells and Formulas" contains recipes that really helped me in my life. At the time, I was recently divorced and was in need of a part-time job to make ends meet. I had been applying for jobs all over town, for months, to no avail. I made the money drawing oil as listed in the book. Within the week, I got a new job. Some of the ingredients were hard to find but I own other books that suggest substitutions. I also tried the Sweet Bottle spell, and my love life is thriving!

Hoodoo is a tradition that is 200 years old. Within these pages you'll find the secrets of genuine Hoodoo and be able to put them to use! You can use Hoodoo to help get rid of illness and bring prosperity, find romance and get rid of bad luck. If you are doing any sort of magick at all, you'll find that the techniques in this book will powerfully enhance your magick. And if you're new to magick, you'll be surprised at just how successful the magick in this book can be. Are you ready to really make a change in your life? With the help of this book and some common herbs, you can do it. Get this book today!

Cottage Witchery Natural Magick For Hearth And Home

Cottage Witchery Natural Magick For Hearth And Home Cover

Book: Cottage Witchery Natural Magick For Hearth And Home by Ellen Dugan

Mrs. Dugan reprises with another absolutely fantastic book dealing with the elements of natural witchcraft and its connections to the hearth and home. Practical and amazingly easy to read and retain information from, Mrs. Dugan takes the reader on a fantastic journey through the parts of your own home that seem to lack a magickal mystery, and insures her readers that the home is one, if not the best place to practice witchcraft. Jam packed with useful information, hearth magick seems less of an abstract idea and more of an accessible entity, completely surrounding you.

According to Dugan, a witch's cottage can take any shape, from a city apartment to a house in the suburbs. A self-described "Garden Witch" and psychic-clairvoyant, Dugan offers a Martha Stewart–like guide for setting up a magickal home, helping readers to "reconnect to the energies of the natural world," and "direct these magickal forces into [their] homes and everyday lives." A follow-up to Garden Witchery, this guide will appeal to a broad audience, from the serious witch hoping to align each room with magickal principles, to the interested dabbler looking for ways to draw magick into the kitchen or the newbie seeking an alternative kind of feng shui. Included are a range of interesting spells for "removing bad vibes," warding off unwanted guests and buying and selling a home, as well as a household journal with blessings for various rooms of the home, and a helpful glossary of terms. Dugan is at her best when explaining concepts like the history of different Goddesses and categorizing elements like the magickal qualities of houseplants, yet her tendency to converse directly with the reader can be off-putting, as are her frequent personal tangents. Though Dugan claims often that this is a guide for any style of home in any location, it will be most useful to readers with easy access to nature.

As to her style, Ellen connects with her readers and steers clear of the "bow-down-to-my-almighty-knowledge" attitude that some writers stick close to when writing a book on the subject of Wicca. With ease and expertise, Mrs. Dugan writes what's in her own clever heart, but fully delivers the vast amounts of info one would deem necessary to have in order to practice this wonderful, natural craft, the Craft of the hearth and of the home. Does it really sound as if Mrs. Dugan is speaking to her readers in a tone one would use with a two year old? Personally, I don't see a hint of that. After reading book after book after book, the titles, the authors and the information, for me, seem to bleed together and become indistinguishable in a muddled, wordy mess. Ellen Dugan stands out among the rest who have attempted to write on this difficult and vast subject and fully utilizes the humor and wit she is know for.

Ellen Dugan, the author of Garden Witchery, is the ideal guide to show us how to bring the beauty of nature and its magickal energies indoors. Using common household and outdoor items-such as herbs, spices, dried flowers, plants, stones, and candles-she offers a down-to-earth approach to creating an enchanted home.

From specialized spells and charms to kitchen conjuring and color magick, this hands-on guide teaches Witches of all levels how to strengthen a home's aura and energy. Readers will learn how to use begonias and lilacs for protection, dispel bad vibes with salt and lemon, perform tea leaf readings, bless the home with fruit, invite the help of home faeries, perform houseplant magick, and create a loving home for the whole family.

Ease A Broken Heart

Ease A Broken Heart Cover SPELL TO EASE A BROKEN HEART
John Shaman

You will need the following ingredients (be sure to charge them all before you
begin):

strawberry tea (one bag)
Small wand or stick from a willow tree
sea salt
2 pink candles
a mirror
one pink drawstring bag
one quartz crystal
a copper penny
1 teaspoon dried jasmine
1 teaspoon orris-root powder
1 tsp. strawberry leaves
1 teaspoon yarrow
10 plus drops apple-blossom oil or peach oil
10 plus drops strawberry oil
a bowl made of china or crystal that is special to you

On a Friday morning or evening (the day sacred to Venus) take a bath in sea salt
in the light of a pink candle. As you dry off and dress, sip the strawberry tea.
Use a dab of strawberry oil as perfume or cologne. Apply makeup or groom
yourself to look your best. Cast a circle with the willow wand around a table
the other ingredients. Light the second pink candle. Mix all oils and herbs in
the bowl. While you stir look at Yourself in the mirror and say aloud: "Oh,
Great Mother Goddess, enclose me in your loving arms and nurture and bring forth
the Goddess within me." Gaze deeply into the mirror after you have finished
mixing the ingredients and say aloud, "I represent the Great Goddess, Mother of
all things. I shine in the light of the Golden Wings of Isis. All that is great
and loving only belongs to me." Then put half the mixture in the pink bag and
add the penny and crystal. Carry it with you always [or until you find another
love]. Leave the other half of the potion in the bowl, out in a room where you
will smell the fragrance. Repeat this ritual every Friday if necessary.

*From Laurie Cabot's "Power of the Witch"
Brackets mine.

Needless to say, you should replace the Goddess name with one that you attune
to.

Make A Witch Ladder Charm

Make A Witch Ladder Charm Cover MAKE A WITCH'S LADDER CHARM

This charm can be of two varieties. One is a general purpose charm of protection
and good luck, the other for a specific purpose.

Supplies needed

For a General Purpose Charm

A length of White Cord,
A length of Red Cord,
A length of Black Cord
Nine Feathers, each of a Different Color

Red for physical vitality,
Blue for mental abilities, peace and protection,
Yellow for cheerfulness and prosperity,
Green for growth and health,
Brown for stability and respect,
Black for mystical wisdom,
Iridescent Black for mystical insight,
Barred Black, Gray or White for balance and harmony,

Feathers with "eyes" such as peacock feathers for protection and inner
clairvoyant
vision

If it is possible, make the Ladder on the night of a Full Moon. Arrange your
alter and cast a circle. Use about a yard of each color yarn. Tie the ends
together and braid them together while you say :

Yarn of Red, Black, and White
Work Your magic spell this night.

Repeat this until the braid is finished. Braiding is a magickal act because it
makes three strands into one. This represents the three aspects of the Goddess
in one. Tie a knot at the end of the braid. Starting at about a foot from the
beginning of the braid, tie a feather with a knot around the base and say :
(example a green feather)

With this feather and this string
Prosperity this charm will bring.

Tie all nine feathers to the cord, spacing them as evenly as possible. Tie the
ends of the cord together to form a circle. Pass the finished Ladder above a
candle flame then incense smoke. Sprinkle it with consecrated water and say :

In the names of the Goddess and the God
By Air, Earth, Fire and Water
I consecrate this charm
Of feathers nine and cord of three
As I will, so mote it be!

Hang the Ladder where it will not be seen by others but where you will see it
every day.

To make a Ladder for a specific purpose, you need three feathers and one length
of yarn braided into a cord in the color of your need.

Weight Loss Spells

Weight Loss Spells Cover This is a very simple weight loss spell, which I wrote in 1990 and have used over the years as an aid to diet and exercise. Remember that magick never relieves you of your responsibility to continue to do all you can on the physical plane to achieve your goals. If you think you are a powerful enough witch that you can just light a candle to take the weight off while you continue to eat chocolate ice cream for desert every night, then I really want to meet you!

Simple Weight Loss Spell

Timimg: Waning Moon (start just after Full Moon)

Preparation: Using an athame (or another sharp item that you have ritually blessed) mark a black candle into 14 equal parts (13 rings). Mark each section with number fives (5).

On the night after the Full Moon, burn the candle down to the first mark while meditating, and chanting the following:

"As this candle burns, so my fat burns.
As this candle decreases, so my weight decreases.
I have complete control over my weight.
My body is truly perfect in every way.
I now weigh a perfect __(insert desired goal)___ pounds.
Every day I am slimmer and healthier.
I am as perfect as the Goddess within me.
Thank you, Goddess, for your help.
This is my will, so mote it be."

Do this nightly, burning the candle down to the next mark, until the night of the New Moon, when the candle should be allowed to burn out. It is also helpful to picture your body's fat cells burning off and to feel your increased metabolism and energy. Your body may feel warm and tingly. As the candle goes down, so your weight goes down. You will lose 5-10 pounds over the two weeks. This spell can be done every month, or as needed.

Points to Remember:
This is the affirmation that I wrote for myself, you are free to change it in any way to suit yourself. Rhyming works well, but I wrote this before I was very good at rhyming everything, and I have continued to use it in the original form simply because I like it that way. Always bear in mind that you must see yourself as having already accomplished your goal in the present moment. Also remember that you need to keep wording things as positive, your subconcious mind really hates to "lose" anything. The word "Goddess" can be substituted for whatever God or Goddess you are working with on this, but I would definitely ask for Divine help.

Another Weight Loss Spell

Stand in front of a mirror and put your hands on your stomach. Chant these words with feeling:

Godess hear my plead,
Make me the weight I want to heed,
This size is to big for me,
A size (size you want to be) I want to be,
So Mote It Be

Once you do this you will feel a funny feeling in your stomach and your cloths will be to big (or if there to small for you the right size) for 6-7 hours

This is tested and works really well as me and my friends have tried this and it is really good. Thats why we put it in my B.O.S (Book of Shadows).

Using Animal Parts In Ritual

Using Animal Parts In Ritual Cover Some Pagans use animal parts in ritual. While this may seem a bit unsavory to some folks, it's really not that uncommon. A good guideline to follow is as follows:

* if your tradition doesn't forbid the use of animal parts, AND
* the parts are gathered humanely and ethically

then there's no reason you can't use them. Let's look at some of the different parts you might want to use.

Thousands of years ago, our ancestors performed rituals and ceremonies. They didn’t have tools ordered from an online catalog or purchased at the Local Wytchy Shoppe. They made do with what they had. For the ancients, many of their tools -- both magical and mundane -- came from the animal kingdom. Few things went to waste. Bones could be turned into anything from a knife to a sewing needle. An antler could be used as a weapon or a farming tool. A horse's bladder might become a pouch to carry herbs. Anything was usable.

In some shamanic traditions, animal parts can be used to connect the practitioner to the animal. One might wear a necklace made of bear claws, a headdress of antlers, or use a fetish of bone and feathers. Some traditions still use these today. Someone wishing to celebrate fertility might use the antlers of a stag, for example. An individual hoping for transformation could perhaps powder a bit of snakeskin for use in a spell. A person who wants to develop their inspiration and creativity might use feathers in a working, and so forth.
Naturally Dropped Items

These are the items that animals discard on their own as part of the natural cycle. Snakes shed their skin regularly. Deer shed antlers after the fall mating season has ended, typically around January through April. A bird may lose feathers as it flies overhead. These are all items that drop on their own naturally, and there is nothing wrong with picking them up and using them.
Items from a Dead Animal

Animals die. It's part of the natural cycle of things. After they've died, sometimes you may find pieces of carcasses lying around. Bones, fur and other parts can be gathered from animal that has died on its own. If you happen to be a pagan who hunts for food, you may wish to use some of the parts of the animal you've killed. This prevents waste, and allows you to maintain some connection with the animal after death. If you are the one who has made the kill, be sure you have done so in a humane and ethical manner. It's never okay to kill an animal just to use its parts in ritual.
Purifying Animal Parts

It's generally a good idea to offer some sort of thanks to the animal before using the item in ritual. As part of this process, you might want to cleanse or purify the object -- you can use smudging, asperging, or any other method of ritually purifying the item. You can also consecrate it as you would any other magical tool.

The Voodoo Doll Spellbook

The Voodoo Doll Spellbook Cover How would you like to open Marie Laveau's trick bag of Voodoo Doll spells? The Great and Powerful Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, Marie Laveau, was known to create little dolls and place them on the doorsteps of enemies, or use them to win court cases, or to unite lovers. She had a veritable trick bag of brilliant methods for gaining the knowledge he needed for her spells to be effective. One ploy was to surreptitiously place a Voodoo doll near the front door of her victims, more often than not the house-servants of well-known New Orleans families. When the Voodoo doll was discovered, the victim was convinced they had been hexed by someone other than Marie, and would run to the Bosswoman (as Marie was known by the locals) for help. Marie would agree to render the doll harmless if the victim agreed to act as her spy and provide her with information about the affairs of the prominent family where the victim worked. Now that is one hell of a magickal manipulation!
In the past in Old New Orleans, Voodoo dolls were referred to as fetiches by outsiders because they roughly resembled the magickal fetiches brought from Africa by African slaves. Since Voodoo dolls are traditionally constructed from objects belonging to the natural world, such as sticks, moss, herbs, roots, and stones, it makes sense to believe that the doll itself has Spirit, that it is part of the One Creator, just as people are. Even throughout European history, philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle contemplated the possibility that souls exist in animals, plants, and people.

This book reveals over 100 pages of powerful spells based on authentic New Orleans Voodoo hoodoo tradition. You will find spells from a variety of cultures who employed the use of doll magick in their traditions. Love and romance, wealth and prosperity, power and domination, fast luck spells, uncrossing, banishment, binding, stopping gossip, finding a lost pet, bend over spells, break up spells, court case spells, spells to destroy all problems... Learn little known formulas for New Orleans Gris Gris dolls such as Gambler's Luck Gris Gris Doll, Good Luck Gris Gris Doll, Crossing Doll, Bad Luck Mummy Doll and many many more.

Indeed, this book shows just how much mightier the pin is than the sword...I promise you there are Voodoo doll rituals you have never heard of before in this book that are guaranteed to leave you spellbound! These are all ancient, hardcore New Orleans voodoo, hoodoo, witchcraft, Greek, and Egyptian Voodoo doll spells by today's foremost authority on Voodoo doll magick!

To Start A Passionate Affair With Thou Person Desire

To Start A Passionate Affair With Thou Person Desire Cover Select a candle of light sky blue
And cut seven notches firm and true.
Add to this seven strips of parchment paper
Placed beside thy candle taper.
Upon them scribe, both first and last
The name of the Lover bold and fast.
Fold the strips in two lengthwise
To keep the names from prying eyes.
Strike a flame and set the candle to burn
And let one strip to ashes turn.
Speak out these words seven times in all,
To summon the forces and with love enthrall:

SPIRIT OF THE DARK LOVE GODDESS DEAR,
BRING (name of desire) TO MY ARMS RIGHT HERE.
LET ME KINDLE THE FLAME OF DESIRE
AND MY LOVE ALWAYS WITH PASSION INSPIRE.

Firm thy vision of what is intended
As the candle to the first notch burns and the hour is ended.

And one of the strips gleefully light.
With witches will and concentrated vision
Thou canst capture thy lover with precision.

Make A Ritual Robe

Make A Ritual Robe Cover Many wiccans and Pagans prefer to perform ceremonies and rituals in special robes. If you're part of a coven or group, your robe might have to be a certain color or style. In some traditions, the color of the robe indicates the level of training a practitioner has. For many people, donning the ritual robe is a way of separating themselves from the mundane business of everyday life -- it's a way of stepping into the ritual mindset, of walking from the mundane world into the magical world. Most people prefer to wear nothing at all under their ritual robe, but do what is comfortable for you.

It's not uncommon to have robes for the different seasons, symbolizing the turning Wheel of the Year. You can make one in blue for spring, green for summer, brown for fall, and white for winter -- or any other colors that symbolize the seasons for you. Do take the time to put some thought into your color selection -- it used to be that most Wiccans wore white robes, but many people prefer to use earth tones, because it's a way of establishing one's connection with nature. Some people choose to avoid black, because it sometimes has negative connotations, but use the color that feels right for you.

Anyone can make a robe of their own, and it's not hard to do. If you can sew a straight line, you can make a robe. First of all, for experienced sewers, there are a number of excellent commercially available patterns out there. You can check catalogs at your local fabric store under "Costumes", which is where most of the good robes are hiding out, especially in the "historical" and "Renaissance" categories. Here are some that look nice and can be made without too much sewing experience:

•Simplicity 4795: Believe it or not, this is a set of patterns for a passion play. There's an angel design in here that's fantastic for a ritual robe. You may want to reduce the drop in the sleeves a bit, though, just to keep from setting yourself on fire while lighting candles.
•Simplicity 3623: This pattern is for a Scottish-themed costume, complete with tam. However, it also includes a pattern for a muslin underdress to be worn beneath the bodice and skirt -- this makes a great ritual robe, and can be assembled in just a couple of hours.
•Simplicity 3616: Sure, the wizard costume seems campy, but if you eliminate the trim and the long white beard, it makes a version of the ritual robe that is far more masculine than some of the other patterns.
•McCalls 4490: For more advanced sewers, this lovely Renaissance-style dress can easily be adapted for a ritual robe.

To make a basic robe without buying a pattern, you can follow these simple steps. You'll need the following:

•A piece of material in the color of your choice -- make sure you select something that will be easy to sew and comfortable to wear. On the average, you'll need about three yards, but if you're heavyset or extra-tall, add in some more. A flat bedsheet is actually the perfect size for this.
•Scissors, thread, tailor's chalk, and a measuring tape.
•A sewing machine.
•A length of cord or light rope, approximately 6 feet long.

You'll need some help for this first step, because you need to measure yourself from wrist to wrist with your arms outstretched. Unless you have a third arm, get a friend to do this for you. This measurement will be Measurement A. Next, figure the distance from the nape of your neck to a point even with your ankle -- this will be Measurement B.

Fold the fabric in half (if the material has a print on it, fold it with the pattern side in). Using your A and B measurements, cut out along the lines indicated in Figure 1, making a sort-of T-shape. Don't cut out along the top fold -- that's the part that will go along the top of the arms and shoulders.

Next, cut a hole for your head (X) at the center of Measurement A. Don't make it too big, or your robe will slide off your shoulders! On each side, sew along the underside of the sleeve, leaving an opening at Y for the arms (Figure 2). Then sew from the armpit down to the bottom of the robe. Turn your robe right-side out, try it on, and adjust it for length if needed.

Finally, add a cord around the waist, as shown in Figure 3. In some traditions the cord may be knotted to indicate degrees of training or education. In others, it acts simply as a belt to keep the robe from flapping around during ritual. You can also add trim, beadwork, or magical symbols to your robe. Personalize it, and make it yours. You may also wish to consecrate your robe before wearing it for the first time.

How To Cast Voodoo Spells

How To Cast Voodoo Spells Cover Casting voodoo spells is associated with dark magic in popular culture. Followers of voodoo, however, frown on most forms of magic. They believe that a body that lives in harmony with the lwa (spirits) does not require magic to balance its existence. For those that do practice magic or charms, they must never practice selfish magic or spells. When ougans (priests) and mambos (medicine men) use magic, it is protective in nature.

Casting voodoo spells instructions

Step 1. Consult an ougan or mambo prior to performing a voodoo ritual yourself (see Resource section below). Devotees of voodoo do not perform magical rites or spells without the guidance of a strong ougan who has taken an oath to do no harm.

Step 2. Choose the lwa (spirit) for the charm. A typical voodoo spell or charm protects from harm or evil. The charm may be inscribed on a person (via tattoo) or on an object that is dedicated and blessed by the ougan.

Step 3. Dress in red. The ougan will dress in red and sacrifice a rooster or a chicken to summon the lwa for the protective charm. Be aware that ritualistic animal sacrifice is illegal in most states unless it is part of an organized religion and recognized as such.

Step 4. Carve the symbol of the lwa onto the object for the charm. The ougan may also tattoo or paint the symbol on the person receiving the charm.

Step 5. Use herbs to cleanse the wound or tattoo (see Resources section below). The types of herbs used are often at the discretion of the ougan or mambo who should be well-versed in herb-lore. Some herbal concoctions can be purchased through designated voodoo shops for ritual purification. Certain initiation ceremonies require the ritualistic marking of members with identifying marks.

Tips And Warnings

Beware of fake voodoo practitioners on the Internet. Do not perform voodoo charms or magic unsupervised. Voodoo is a religion and should be respected.

How To Write A Spell

How To Write A Spell Cover If you're going to write a spell, it should be specific to you and very individual. Even if following a traditional spell, it should be tailored to your specific needs to be the most effective for you. Understanding the basics of spell construction will enable you to formulate your own specific, effective spells for any purpose you choose.

1. State your intention. Decide on the result you want to accomplish with the spell.

2. Time your spell. Timing when casting spells can be important. The Moon is important in witchcraft, and therefore has a profound influence upon us. It is very important to choose the right moon phase for your spell; magical workings for gain, increase or bringing things to you, should be initiated when the moon is waxing (from new to full); when the moon is waning (from full to dark), then its time for magical workings of decrease or sending away. The highest energy occurs at the full moon, and therefore this is the most powerful time for magical workings. The new moon is the next most powerful time for magic.

3. Work with the seasons. There is a natural time for starting things (a planting time), for maturing things (a growing time), for reaping things (a harvest time) and, of course, a time for rest and planning.

4.Gather your tools. Make sure that you have all the tools that you need for casting the spell. Your tools must have no inherent magic. They are to help you create a mood. You also have to clean your tools. Don't forget to cleanse and bless (consecrate) your tools before you begin casting your spell.

5.Understand magic. Remember that magic is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of energy and a visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will. Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magical energy you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel the high energy flow. You must direct it.

6.Write your spoken words. For making your words and thoughts stronger you can write your spell into a rhyme to be spoken aloud; this makes it easier to remember your spell, you can also chant your spell to raise energy.

7.Remember the Threefold Law. Everything that you want to reach with this spell comes back 3 times, good or wrong.

Tips

* Before you write your final version of your spell, you can write on a note what you want to reach with your spell, and what you are needing.
* Don't forget to cast a circle before doing any spell, for you are totally vulnerable for elementals when casting higher powers of other beings.
* Meditation is the key to relaxation, and being completely relaxed allows energy to flow freely throughout your body. You should learn how to clear your mind and focus with whats on hand.

How To Practice White Magic Spells

How To Practice White Magic Spells Cover White magic is a belief system that embodies good energy, health and healing. It's filled with everything black magic lacks: great karma, good spells, bountiful peace and a system of rituals and spells that promote tranquility and love. If you'd like to spread some harmony and healing during these stressful times, get mellow, practice kindness and spread love and good tidings among friends and family. Here's the best part: You can start practicing immediately since no license is required.

Instructions

1.Learn all you can about the various aspects of white magic. The practice can be layered in spellbinding language and may include charms and rituals, so devotees recommend devoting as much time to learning about it as you would any other life-changing practice.
2.Make white magic a regular part of your day. Adopt a male and/or a female spirit of your choosing and "consult" with them regularly during daily tasks to confer blessings--in the form of positive energy--into everything with which you come into contact. Build these internal reserves as you practice White Magic and you will be able to dispel negativity.
3.Invest in a beautiful journal and turn it into your Book of Shadows. This personal diary exists to accompany you as you use white magic to record and expand upon all of your experiences. As you explore the art of casting spells, use this journal to keep an accurate record of your spiritual growth.
4.Construct a mental bridge between your mind and nature. Practicing white magic is all about tying a ribbon around that relationship so you understand how closely the two are tied together. Good deeds like planting flowers, taking time to admire a sunset or picking fruit for those who have no food offers opportunities to understand how intertwined all of life can be.
5.Explore introspection and get in touch with the peace it brings when you reserve snippets of the day for meditation. Because white magic is focused upon bringing good energy into your life and the lives of those you love, quiet times offer opportunities for you to use your powers to comfort, enrich, enhance and better the lives of significant others.
6.Accept the fact that your greatest feats of magic will be those that come from your heart and soul. Conjuring a spell or creating a ritual can't affect the outcome of a situation unless you believe that your power is strong enough to make it so.
7.Never use white magic to manipulate, threaten or harm. Such actions have been known to backfire badly, turning white into Black Magic and cursing the practitioner for abusing the gift. Remember that there's a lot of common sense built into the practice of white magic. The Golden Rule may not have originated with early proponents, but this principle is implicit in the practice. Spells you send out will always come back to you.
8.Cast spells only after you have thoroughly examined your heart because once cast, a spell can't be rescinded. If you're considering a spell but you're not quite sure it's ready to be cast, revisit Step 5. Turning inward and meditating upon the magic you are about to make will always serve you well.

How To Perform Protection Spells

How To Perform Protection Spells Cover We all feel vulnerable at times. A protection spell can empower you. Whether it is the negative energies of others or fear for your property, you are not helpless. You can build a field of energy that will keep destructive forces away. Read on to learn how to perform protection spells.

Instructions

1.Identify your fears. The kind of protection you need will influence the spell you perform. Mentally destructive forces need to be handled differently from physical threats.

2.Describe the ownership history of your home, if that's what you want to protect. Pay attention to the feelings you get when you write about previous owners. The energies they have left behind could be what's making you feel uncomfortable.

3.Meditate on the person who is causing you grief if you are performing the spell for protection against someone. Write a letter addressing that person and explaining why you feel vulnerable.

4.Buy a black and white candle. Light it in a place in your home where you feel safe. Imagine a thick field of white energy surrounding you. Call up that protective field of energy when you feel threatened.

5.Pour hot water over a 1 tsp. of basil. Let it sit for half an hour. Run a warm bath and add the basil water. Relax and envision yourself moving through life confident and brave.

6.Eat more protein like chicken, beans, cheese and tofu when feeling vulnerable to help ground you. Spicy dishes with garlic, onions, black pepper and cayenne keep negative energies away. Eat while visualizing that you are protected from threatening forces.

7.Perform a simple protection spell for your home by burning sage in a censer. Walk through every room in your house, including the attic, basement and garage, chanting words that empower you.

Tips & Warnings

* When using incantations, say positive words that empower you rather than negative words against someone or something.

This is simple magic protection spell for the protection of a room, household or other physical location against negative energies or bad spirits.

How to cast it:

1.Cast a Witch's Circle. If you use a besom for this, sweep the entire area that you wish to protect.

2.Asperse (sprinkle with purified water) the area that you are protecting. Pay special attention to any doors, windows or corners.

3.Cast the sea salt around the edges of the area. You need not be heavy-handed, just a few salt crystals per foot is quite sufficient.

4.Light the incense and allow it to burn for a few moments before continuing. Many denominations of witchcraft begin chanting or prayers at this point.

5.Use the fan or feather to cense (direct smoke towards) the entire area. Work clockwise (doesil) and wave the fan through the smoke to send it outwards. As with the water, pay special attention to doors, windows and corners. Finish your chants and invoke any deities or energies whose blessing you desire upon the protected area. Finish with your normal ritual and close the circle.
