TO BREAK A JINX

Fill your bath at night and open the window so that the moon's rays will Come in
and fall on you while you bathe. Put Myrtle leaves, Elderberries, Genitian, and
Orange flowers into the bath. Wash yourself completely in the solution, and say
the following out loud:

"Oh as I declare,
Cleaning and despair,
I call on you, Oh Goddess of the moon,
Clean me and remove all despair,
As I worship you."

Do this at least three nights in a row, and all jinxes or hexes will be removed.
To make it stronger, as you dry yourself off with a fresh towel, stand in the
moon's rays and repeat this chant:

"If you believe it, it shall be."

You sit down with your legs crossed. You clear your mind and become one with yourself. Your mind truly needs to be clear in order for this to work. Then hold out both of your arms, and have your recessive hand hand and your projective hand in a fist, both arms parallel to each other. Feel the energies of the universe entering into your recessive hand and flowing through your body towards your projective hand. Let the energy build up in your projective hand until you feel you have an immense amount of energy. Then fling your arms to the right, open your projective and while doing this, and envision the energies flying towards your goal. Then recite
a quick chant that will best suite your goal.

This, if practiced, will become a very powerful and useful talent.

Book: The Art Practice Of Caballa Magic by Ophiel

Dion Fortune wrote a great book about the Caballa but told nothing about the practices. This book starts to tell about how to use the Tree of Life, or Practices. It reveals what Dion Fortune left out because she received her knowledge from a lodge and was not at liberty to give it out. I received the knowledge direct from the inner sources and can give it all out freely.

The newest book in Ophiel’s Art and Practice Series begins with a brief history of the Caballa then examines the correspondences of the Tree of Life and its symbolism. One of the most interesting chapters offers a unique interpretation of the Three Pillars, relating them to past, present, and future. The Art and Practice of Caballa Magic provides clear instructions for practical, productive work using the symbols of the Tree of Life in daily life. Book: A Witch Like Me The Spiritual Journeys Of Today Pagan Practitioners by Sirona Knight

Right off the top let me say that I hope this book inspires another one or two in the same line, although perhaps not limited to book authors. I love the idea of learning more about some of the background of some of the “big names” in Paganism. Of course, some of the people I would most like to read about are deceased, but perhaps there are close associates who could provide the data for “posthumous interviews.” In another vein, perhaps a book of fictional biographies could be assembled for the likes of Harry Potter, Sabrina, Samantha (“Bewitched”) Stevens, the “Charmed” sisters, etc.

It is difficult to critique a book like this, other than on technical grounds, since it is composed of individual life stories and opinions. I truly believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, no matter if they match up with mine or not. So, I find myself in the position of not being able to disagree with any of the statements contained within this book.

Perhaps the only legitimate criticism I can level at this book, if it is that, is that of the fourteen authors presented here (Dorothy Morrison, Phyllis Currot, Raymond Buckland, Z. Budapest, Marion Weinstein, Patricia Telesco, Raven Grimassi, Lady Sabrina, Skye Alexander, A.J. Drew, Silver Ravenwolf, Timothy Roderick, and Sirona Knight), there are only a few who are “Old Timers” (i.e., their first published work came out 20 or more years ago). Even that, however, merely reflects the author’s choice to deal with those individuals who have stood up for their beliefs, and who are still on the cutting edge of the evolving religion of Wicca.

This is a fun book. No, you won’t learn any deep, dark secrets. There are no skeletons in the closet being revealed. And of course, each author presents themselves in the best possible light,. That is human nature and no one can be faulted for that.

It is a book worth reading, because it shows that Wiccans are very human, and that some of us are willing to stand up and take our lumps for our beliefs. Wiccan authors are becoming more visible, and their books more viable. If you want to know more about the works of these authors, they are listed in the appendix. That appendix could form the basis for a decent “wish list” to improve your library.

A WISH SPELL TO DIANA

You may use this only three times in between the new moons.

While gazing at the moon, repeat the following:

"Moon, moon, Beautiful moon, brighter that any star, Goddess of light and love,
Diana if it might be, pray bring Fortune unto me".

A sign that the spell worked would be coins doubling in the purse or pocket, or
seeing a hare before dawn. Note: The spell won't work if done with evil intent.

Protection chant for out-door spells:
Before attempting spells at night, out-doors, take up
a blessed object (wand for instance) and draw a
pentagram in the air. Imagine the pentagram glowing
and the evil around being trapped inside until after
your spells, chant:

Hail fair moon
Ruler of the night;
Guard me and mine
Until the light

You will need:
-pink candle
-jasmine incense
-rosemary

Light the jasmine incense. As you do so imagine the kind of person that you want
to spend the rest of your life with. Note: this should not be a specific person but
the things that you want in a person. Say the qualities that you want in true love
out loud as you light your pink candle. Then say this as you sprinkle rosemary
over the flame:
These are the things I want in you
A man/woman who's loving, loyal and true
I ask of the spirits of all those above
To send me my one and only true love

Say this as many times as needed and then extinguish the candle.

To see spirits, old European grimoires recommend mixing together aloe,
pepper, musk, vervain and saffron, and burning this in a cemetary. We can adapt
this for other locations (like those in which the spirit lived) by adding a bit
of sweetgrass or tobacco to a specially prepared incense. Create the incense on
the anniversary of the death of the individual you wish to contact. This is then
burned at 11 am, in the safety of a majick circle that also holds symbolic items
to connect you to the entity.

An incantation to encourage the spirit's presence is:

"Guardians of the Spirit realm,
hear and guide my plea.
When the witching hour rings true,
bring my relationship, name of person to me.
Other souls who hear my call,
are not welcome in this place.
Only the one known as name of person may enter sacred space."

Repeat the request three times, twenty minutes apart, then wait quietly for
indications of a presence. Signs include the scent of flowers, or favored
cologne, a cool wind, movement of curtains, and candles going out or
twitching erratically. Once you feel sure the spirit is with you, do not make
it tarry overly long. Take care of your business, say farewell, and thank the
guardians for their assistance before closing the circle.

A Word of Caution:
Spiritual entities should not be banished or called for amusement. It is best
to contact a knowledgeable, experienced psychic for advice or assistance
before undertaking any spells of this type. It is used for communication,
and understanding the purpose of spirits. The best times are in-between
times, such as noon, midnight, dusk and dawn. Halloween. Seasons of late fall
and winter. When the Moon is in Libra. Eclipses. Wednesday.

Supplies: materials to cast a circle,one red or pink candle, love oil, pin, red or pink crayon or pen, a pink or red or piece of paper.

Step 1: Cast your circle
Step 2: Visualize the type of man you want to be with. Make sure to visualize everything you are looking for in him, like looks, hair, job, sensitivity, caring, understanding, not violent, sex, size of his "want not", honesty, loyalty, respect, ect.
Step 3:write with pin into candle"love come to me" annoint the red/pink candle with oil, starting at top to center change hands and do same from bottom to center. All while concentrating on man and focusing energy into candle. Light candle off of alter candle(white). Set on altar.
Step 4: Take piece of paper and write on it "love come to me" around the words encircle it with touching hearts.(use red/pink crayon-better to use pink paper and red crayon)Set paper under red candle.
Step 5: Say aloud(while concentrating on person)
"By the power of hope and truth
By the power of the old and youth
In true love with him i want to be
By the power of the universe let love come to me"
Step 6: Take piece of paper and set it on fire with red candle and repeat the rhyme above, Throw the paper in pot and say "so mote it be".
Step 7: Close circle

There is no need to repeat but for the spell to be stronger repeat the next 2 nights/days. It worked for me I hope it works for you! BE CAREFUL though not to let any negative thought enter your mind while doing this spell. It may also help to visualize the outcome and try not to make the person anyone in particular.

THE REVEALING PEEL




To find if the one you love will Become your spouse, do the following.

In the morning, as soon as you arise, peel a small lemon. Keep two equal pices
of the peel, each about the size of a half-dollar. Place the pieces with the
insides Together and the peel sides out, and put them in your right-hand Pocket
or in your purse. Leave them there all day.

At night, when you undress for bed, take the peel from your pocket or purse and
rub the legs of the bed with it. Then place both pieces of the peel under your
pillow and lay down to sleep. If you dream of your love, then you will surely
marry him/her.

Waxing Moon or Full Moon: Waning or New Moon

Needed:
- Two tall purple candles
- Two tall green candles
- A purple Amethyst, Green Jade or Agate - in center of altar
- Sandalwood & Lavender Incense, Sandalwood & Willow Bark Incense
- Spirit Candle
- Witches' Bowl - a bowl or tray 13" or more in diameter, marked for divination.
- Three casting stones

Cast a triple circle. Conjuring of Spirits is always done in hours of darkness,
not necessary to be midnight, but preferred. After you have performed your
primary ritual, cast the incense into your burner, Place the Spirit Candle into
the center of the altar and say:

"Spirit of good will, I bid thee enter
The Outer Circle.
The Second Circle.
The Inner Circle.
I am protected by this Pentacle upon my breast.
Which bears the name of (your Spirit Guide)
I bid thee, Spirit, Reveal thy Earthly name!"

(turn slowly deosil as you speak)

Repeat this conjuration three times.
Perform a nine card Tarot Divination for the Spirit's name, unless the
Spirit replies in some other manner.
Ask: Have you a message for me?
Perform a Tarot Divination or use the Witches' Bowl to ask questions.
Spirit, is it true that....?
Deal gently with the friendly Spirits and they will lead you to the Greater
Mysteries.
During your questioning, observe the Spirit Candle.
If it wavers or rises and falls, or flickers unevenly, use the Tarot to see if
the Spirit has a message.
You may ask 3 questions, after that you must ask:
May I seek further guidance?
Ask only 3 more questions.
Bid the Spirit depart, saying:

"(Name), Good Spirit,
Thou hast diligently answered my questions and I do thank thee. I hereby give
thee license to depart. Depart, thrice - blessed Spirit, and be thou willing to
return when next I conjure thee. By the sound of this bell"

(Use your Witch's Bell), "do I bid thee leave. Depart, Depart. Depart!"
