The Empirical Rules Of Magick 15 Love

The Empirical Rules Of Magick 15 Love Cover
You must take love spells very seriously, for they are quite dangerous. Never, never, never do a love spell on an individual.

This is often a great temptation, but don't even risk the possibility of imposing your will on another. The karmic results are severe. Even if you succeeded, you would still lack real love, for you would have to continually renew the spell to keep the person. What you want, among other things, is someone to help express your love for yourself. As you will often hear, you must love yourself first. This isn't a problem, for you already love yourself-- that is the main reason you are alive. The problem is when you block that love. Eliminating these blocks is the Soul's goal. But don't despair, you needn't actually remove them to draw love to you. Just beginning the work can attract that special someone who will help.

Affirmations: I am a perfect manifestation of love and I draw love to me. I now allow love to come into my life. I feel and express perfect love and draw other loving people into my life.

Visualizations: Picture yourself as a magnet, feeling and drawing love. Imagine your-self bathed in green or pink or orange light, depending on your goals. Pink is for filial love (agape) and for that of a lover. Orange is for the sexual aspect (spleen chakrum). Green is for both (heart chakrum). But the distinctions are somewhat blurred, for love is a combination of all of these.

Other: Friday is the day of Venus and the waxing to full Moon is a time of increase, so these are good times for ritual. The ubiquitous heart symbol can be useful.

The Practical Pagan Commonsense Guidelines For Modern Practitioners

The Practical Pagan Commonsense Guidelines For Modern Practitioners Cover

Book: The Practical Pagan Commonsense Guidelines For Modern Practitioners by Dana Eilers

Offers suggestions, hints, and down-to-earth help for seekers and believers of Paganism to understand and find their place in the community. Included are discussions about what it means to be Pagan, getting involved in the Pagan community, myths about Paganism, and coming out of the broom closet. The book also gives valuable information about choosing a specific path, joining an organization and deciding to be a solitary practitioner. The book also contains common sense guidelines of conduct, Paganism and the family, love and relationships and educating yourself about Paganism. This book encourages all seekers and followers to follow their own inclination and it will serve as a guide and a resource to those just starting out or those who are still seeking answers.

Finally, a book that deals with the realities of being pagan in a mundane world. Bravo to Ms. Eilers for taking the time and energy to put a lot of very valuable reference material together in one place and make it available to everyone. For those not familiar with Dana Eilers, she is a witch, she is a lawyer. She has worked for legal council for such groups as WARD, AREN and WADL. She has put in "years" of voluntary time to various Pagan/Witch/Wiccan groups as legal council as well as just time spent helping bring order to a chaotic situation.
Her book does the same thing. While we are all aware of our spiritual paths, we do encounter legal entanglements that may or may not be of our own making.

In those things that we mess up for ourselves, Ms. Eilers offers advice and council as to how to unmake those messes and avoid them in the future. Much of it is common sense, hence the name of the book. In those cases where our problems may be because of the religious path we choose to follow and are being either discriminated against or denied our rights, Ms. Eilers has placed chapter and verse of the law at our fingertips, to enable us to understand, in plain English (my goodness, a lawyer who speaks plain English, how unique and so definitely Pagan!) what our options are, where to seek council and material to provide any legal representative we may choose to aid us.

There is way too much material in this book (another plus for Ms. Eilers, she didn't cheap out on the information) to even try to recap the book. Everything from definitions of key words to meeting and greeting other pagans to proper behavior with pagans and with the mundane world.

Yes, this is a must have on your library shelf!!!! I would love to have several copies I could give away to some of the people I meet everyday in the pagan world, just so I pass along the common sense some people don't use that the Goddess gave them.

If nothing else, give this book a serious read. Ask at your local libraries and make sure they get a copy and keep it in stock. It is a much needed book in our community and will prove to be a valuable tool to the community over the years.

Modern Magick Eleven Lessons In The High Magickal Arts

Modern Magick Eleven Lessons In The High Magickal Arts Cover

Book: Modern Magick Eleven Lessons In The High Magickal Arts by Donald Michael Kraig

Modern Magick is the most popular, most complete, step-by-step instruction manual on how to do real magick that has ever been published. Already over 100,000 people are using it. What does it cover? Rituals, healing, initiation, talismans, astral travel, creative visualization, psychic self-defense, evocation of spirits, the Kabalah, physical exercise, and magical tools such as wands. Want more? You'll also learn the secrets of true meditation, how to use the Tarot, how to remember your dreams, how to do the rituals of Western Magick, including rituals of the Pentagram, Hexagram, Middle Pillar, Rose Cross, and Watchtower. You'll learn how to manipulate magical energy, secrets of relaxation, Wicca, pathworking, Tantra, and sex magick. Once you have finished working your way through this book you will be an accomplished magician. You will be able to perform real magick. Then this book will become the most valuable reference tool in your collection of books.

What if you want to know even more about a subject? No problem. Each chapter has a bibliography so you can go even deeper into any topic. There is an annotated bibliography at the end with even more resources.

In the new, second edition the contents pages contain more information so it is even easier to find what you need, but there is also an entirely new appendix with answers to many of the most frequently asked questions that Kraig has received over the years. This book is a must!

I still remember reading the manuscript of Modern Magick. Today, as I look over the second edition of this book, I remember why I was so impressed with it back then and remain impressed now: format and breadth.

After all those years of wondering about magick and trying to find a book which really teaches you the REAL secrets of magick, this book wins the ultimate MUST HAVE. Very good for those who are starters in Magick. This book lets you understand and learn the Whats, the Hows, and the Whens of Magick. You will be able to understand other books on the Occult once you have finished reading this book. Most of the beginners would like to jump to COOL Magick like Goetia - then upon reading it and trying to summon things - nothing happens - then you start wondering if you have to read between the lines, well, in a way yes. So, before jumping to those more advance versions of Magick, this book will be your guide to understand what Magick is and how to use other Magickal or Occult books.

The breadth of this book is amazing. It covers so many topics that you will be astounded. From Witchcraft to Kabalah, from reincarnation to astral travel, from charging talismans to pathworking up the Tree of Life, this book has it all. Do you need to know rituals for banishing? They're here. Do you want to learn how to make magical tools? It's in this book. Do you want the secrets for safely calling up spirits from the famous grimoires? You can learn it here, too, along with the secrets of sex magick and Tantric sexuality.

But all of these exercises, rituals, and techniques — all of this information — is no good unless you can make use of it and understand it. That is an area where this book really excels. Instead of simply throwing out all of the material at once, this book has a progressive format. What you learn in lesson two is based on what you learned in lesson one. What comes is later lessons is based on your study of the previous ones. Because it is progressive, Don doesn't have to waste space by repeating what came earlier. But because you constantly use everything, you can go much deeper into every subject.

If you have a first edition of this book, be sure to get a copy of the second edition. It adds a section on answers to common questions and more informative contents pages. I think you will be excited with it, too. I know of many people who have worn out two or three copies of this book. Entire magical orders use it as their text. Isn't it time for you to begin?

Author Donald Michael Kraig wrote this after teaching the information in classes for ten years. It is refined, tested, and easy to understand. It is filled with exercises, techniques, and rituals to help you. It is presented in a series of eleven lessons. Follow the lessons, practice the rituals and techniques, and by the end of your work you will be a magician.

I know many who likes to skip chapters just to learn what one wants to learn. If you are serious in Magick, take your time to go from the beginning. You need to build up sufficient knowledge of how to let Magick happen. As for experienced Magicians, I would say that this is a good reference. This book is mainly based on Kabbalistic Magick and a few Low Magick (nature magick). Too bad there isn't much on Enochian. I've been followin the lessons in the book and I can say that: its not complicated and Magick WORKS (this statement are for those who are sceptics)!! All in all this book provides you with good history in Magick though not in detail but still not too boring. For those serious in this, I would also recommend the audio tape to pronounce the difficult words there are in the book.

Bring Him Or Her To Heel

Bring Him Or Her To Heel Cover
This spell is very useful for people who are being given the "Run-around" by their lover or mate. It brings the wayward lover to heel quite nicely and once this is accomplished, you can dictate the terms of your relationship. You must not, however, allow the container to thaw or you will be back to where you started. When you defrost your refrigerator, borrow your neighbor's freezer!

TO BRING HIM/HER TO HEEL

Ingredients:

2 pieces of paper each approximately 1 inch
by 1/2 inch

One pen

Honey

One small receptacle big enough to hold the paper without
the need of folding. (The lid of a screw-top jar is
quite satisfactory.
)

METHOD:

(1) Write the name of your lover/mate on one piece of paper.

(2) Place paper face upward in container.

(3) Write your own name on the second piece of paper.

(4) Place second piece of paper, face downward, on top of
first piece. Make sure that the bottom piece of paper
is exactly covered by the top piece.

(5) Pour honey into container so that both pieces of paper
are completely covered.

(6) Place container, complete with paper and honey, in
refrigerator freezer compartment.

*Note* If you're doing this for a mate who lives with you, don't use the
home refrigerator. Hahahahahaha!
This spell can be done at any time in any phase of the moon.

Basic Spell Construction

Basic Spell Construction Cover
Because of the very nature of Magick, each working should be highly
individualized and personal. Even if following a traditional spell, it should be
tailored to your specific needs to be most effective for you. Understanding the
basics of Spell Construction will enable you to formulate your own specific,
effective spells for any purpose you desire.

Preliminary planning is necessary. The very first step is to decide precisely
what your desired end result is to be. Before you can start, you must decide
where you are going. You must be very explicit.
It is important, also, that you choose your time carefully. You should take into
consideration all Astrological implications, energy currents and Moon phases.

The Moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, has a profound
influence upon us, it is very important to choose a time when the Moon is in an
astrological sign which is appropriate for your working. For example:
Aries/Action - Enthusiasm, Taurus/ Renewal - Sensuality, Gemini/Communication -
Curiosity, Cancer/ Emotion - Nurturing, Leo/Vitality - Determined,
Virgo/Organizing - Studious, Libra/Balance - Cooperation, Scorpio/Sexual -
Philosophical, Capricorn/Authority - Ambitious, Aquarius/Innovation - Social,
Pisces/Sensitivity - Idealistic.

Bear in mind that magickal workings for gain, increase or bringing things to
you, should be initiated when the Moon is Waxing (from Dark to Full); when the
Moon is Waning (from Full to Dark), it is time for magickal workings of decrease
or sending away.
The highest energy occurs at the Full Moon and, therefore, this is the most
powerful time for magickal workings. The New Moon is the next most powerful time
for Magick.

Whenever possible, follow Nature's natural Energy Currents. There is a natural
time for starting things (a planting time), for maturing things (a growing
time), for reaping things ( a harvest time) and, of course, a time for rest and
planning.

Flowing with these currents will make your magickal work much easier. Remember
to plan your project for a time of uninterrupted privacy. It is important that
you have no distractions. Generally speaking, it is best to work as late at
night as possible. A time when there is less frantic energy is most appropriate.
You might consider Midnight or later.

In choosing a place to do your magickal working pay particular attention to your
needs, for you must be comfortable. Your place should be private, quiet and
secure. If at all possible, set aside a special place for this purpose only. An
unused room, a special corner of your bedroom, a quiet, secluded spot in your
garden. A place that is yours. A place that you can come to whenever need arises
and that is as free from intrusion of others as possible.

Prior to the night of your magickal working, gather together the things that you
will need. All of the things used are tools. They have no inherent magick. They
are to help you create a mood. If correctly made and used, they will trigger
primitive responses from deep within you. They should be chosen with care.
Consider the purpose of your ritual and choose your tools accordingly. If your
magick is to be sexual, your candles, oils, incenses and so forth, should bring
forth a sexual response. If the desired result of your Magick is Tranquillity,
then the tools should make you feel calm, peaceful and serene. Any candles you
might use should not have commercially added fragrances as these may not be
appropriate for your working.

Prior to your ritual, prepare yourself and your equipment by any means necessary
to clean and purify. Historically, people have fasted, followed meticulous and
detailed bathing practices, practiced chastity and used many other methods.

Most often a Ritual Bath is the preferred method. A bath frequently utilizing
candlelight, fragrant herbs, bath salts or sensuous oils. A sumptuous hot bath,
special bathing preparations and appropriate lighting, combined, can create the
soothing effect which will help in the very important step of relaxing and
clearing the mind completely of all mundane thoughts and experiences of the day.
Your ritual Bath should, also, begin to set the specific vibrations conducive to
your purpose into motion. You must not only cleanse and purify but must, also,
begin to create the type of energy necessary. Once your purification process has
been accomplished, you are now ready to begin. Proceed to the special place you
have previously chosen in which to perform your magick. If at all possible, you
should make use of the primitive responses set into motion by a well-chosen
piece of music. Your music should start slowly and build to a rousing climax.

As you use your oils, light your candle or incense (or utilize any other tool
you have chosen), you should begin to further intensify the energy that you have
set into motion around you. A high degree of intensity is vitally important.

The Altered State of Consciousness that you must reach is not a meditative
state. Anything that interferes with your ability to concentrate upon, reach
and control the high energy state necessary to perform magick should be avoided.
Such as, screaming children, a sink full of dirty dishes, use of alcohol or
drugs, etc.

Do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magickal working at
a time.

Remember that Magick is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of
energy and a visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your
visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will.
Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magickal energy
you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel
the high-energy flow. You must direct it.

One of the most important elements in the practice of any form of Magick is the
Universal Law of Cause and Effect. This means that whatever you do (or don't do)
you cause something to happen.

The most important consideration is the Universal Law of Retribution. This means
that no matter what you do, it comes back to you in like kind.

It is the nature of things that as you send something out it gains momentum, so
that, by the time it comes back to you, it is three times stronger. If you do
something nice for someone, someone will do something nicer for you.

"As you weave and
spin your spell,
Three fold return
the tale will tell."

To Dispel Sorrow

To Dispel Sorrow Image
When world and fate

Conspire to mark

Your life with lines

And characters dark,

Mold a tablet

Of earth or clay,

Write on it all

You would cast away -

All you regret,

All that you bear,

All that afflicts you,

All that you fear -

Break it and bury it

In the ground,

Saying this charm

To heal the wound:

Sorrow be dust

And dust dissolve:

Let all my grief

Go into this grave.

The Lucky Devil

The Lucky Devil Cover
Can the Devil be a bringer of good luck? Yes, indeed, according to old European traditions. This devil -- known variously as Old Nick, Old Scratch, Old Split-Foot, and Der Teufel -- did not begin his career as the "Satan" (adversary) of Christianity and Judaism or the "Prince of Darkness" and "fallen angel" popularized by John Milton in his epic poem "Paradise Lost" (1667 - 1674).

The old Devil is a Teutonic woods-spirit, an ogre-like trickster who may desire to eat human flesh, but is often friendly to wood-cutters and footloose soldiers. In Germanic folk-tales like those collected by the Grimm brothers, he is usually described as living out in the woods with his aged grandmother who combs his hair to put him to sleep at night. Among Americans of Anglo-Saxon heritage, he is sometimes said to have a wife who quarrels with him.

In the area of Central and Eastern Europe comprising Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic, the Devil was never fully absorbed into the Christian mythos as Satan but remained as he had always been, a slender, horned, bearded, fur-covered half-man of the woods. Under the regional names Krampus, Schwarze Peter (Black Peter), and Knecht Ruprecht (Ruprecht the Servant), he accompanies Saint Nicholas on his rounds of gift-giving, originally on December 6th, but eventually on Christmas Day, December 25th. In the early part of the 20th century it was the custom during December to send humourous Krampus postcards to friends. The example shown here, dated 1932, contains a bit of verse in German:

Gruss von Krampus!

Wenn im Herzen brennt das Feuer

freut sich das schwarze Ungeheuer

The English translation, supplied by Liselotte Erlanger, is:

Greetings from Krampus!

When the fire burns in the heart

the black monster rejoices

Wild animality, shown by the lustfully burning hearts lapped by the long tongue of dancing Krampus, was acknowledged as the Devil's domain. It was Krampus' job to punish children who had behaved badly during the year. Unlike the conventional Christian Devil, Krampus is usually depicted with only one cloven hoof, not two. Not having been a "fallen angel" he is never shown with wings. His tools are a short switch, with which to beat wrong-doers, and a length of chain. The latter emblem is ambiguous in depiction: Sometimes Krampus, as Saint Nicholas' servant, is chained; other times he chains those whom he intends to punish.

When Christianity overtook the native Teutonic religions, the Devil acquired some new attributes. In one of the Grimm's tales, "The Devil's Sooty Brother," he actually lives in Hell, where, for a term of work stoking the hellfires, he grants a veteran soldier a comfortable life in the here-and-now.

How To Apply Wiccan Spells And Charms

How To Apply Wiccan Spells And Charms Image
When there is so much energy all around us. Do we really need anything extra to bring in that extra bit of luck to all our lives? Yes deriving the best from nature is all the very ways to bring in that added luck to our lives. The very word spells remind us the several fairy tales. The prince turned frog in frog price. The needle on which spell was cast to prick and make the princess fall asleep for years and many more.

On the other hand charms are mostly defined as some magical object which is about to usher in good luck. A doll in some mythical story given to a little girl by her mother on the death bed showered in luck into the girl's life. She was saved from every uncanny situation. Her stepmother, the witch.

And all because of a doll. Yes wiccan spells and charms not only bring luck and fortune to the lives of the fairy tale characters but also are equally true in our normal lives. Ranging from spells of broader categories like money, love, etc. to simple categories like: your pet's health, helping grow more plants in your garden, growing slim, keeping young etc.

Wiccan charms on the other hand are some beads or amulets which are assigned to perform certain tasks in your lives bringing in that extra bit of luck into our lives. A youth charm can help maintaining youth, a health charm whereas can look after your health.

But performing of wiccan spells and charms are not so easy observing certain rules are a must. Not abiding by these codes can bring in lots of bad luck or sometimes can cause a revert spell to occur.

Using the wiccan spells and charms to bring in bad luck for some person or to dominate someone without their wish is strictly prohibited while using wiccan spells and charms. Thinking wisely and thus measuring the pros and cons of any spell or charm is what all wiccan spell and charm performers are required to do.

The Wiccan spells can sometimes be very simple, comprising of just a bit of a phrase or a line maybe but again it can be very complicated also. Some spells require to be done on some particular times of the month or week or maybe year to complete a full circle.

And also to get the best results. Whereas to keep evil out and bring in luck several objects which have been magically treated can be used. But, then again the ways of placing the objects, the directions or other instructions if prescribed are what we have to abide by very minutely.

The only problem we can encounter when all this is not followed a back spell happening. Wiccan spells and charms with its sheer glory are bound to shine over our lives with luck, only when done with utmost care and patience.

Practising The Witchs Craft Real Magic Under A Southern Sky

Practising The Witchs Craft Real Magic Under A Southern Sky Cover

Book: Practising The Witchs Craft Real Magic Under A Southern Sky by Douglas Ezzy

This book contains the stories of individual Witches, but it is much more than personal stories. It contains some spells, but it is much more than a spell book. It describes some of the theory and history of Witchcraft, but it is much more than a theory book.

Telling the stories of ordinary people who have discovered that life is enchanted, this exploration of witchcraft presents the leaders of the movement and experienced practitioners and delves into what it really means to be a witch. Describing powerful rituals and moving magical encounters, these witches discuss working with natural forces, including sexuality and the seasons, and how they craft spells and personal rituals, and use incense and herbs. With insights from many different traditions including Wicca and Paganism, this guide celebrates the pleasures and mysteries of contemporary witchcraft.
This is a book about the practice of Witchcraft. Are there different types of Witches? What is it like when you first experience magic? What do Witches believe? How do Witches perform spells? What are the aims of Witchcraft rituals? How do you find other Witches to work with? What are the dangers involved in Witchcraft? What is it like to be a Witch? Why are women so interested in Witchcraft? This book answers these questions. Witches with many years experience tell stories of their own journeys to explain the essence and variety of contemporary Witchcraft. This is a book about Witchcraft written by Witches. There are a large number of Witches in Australia, many of whom have been practising for decades. This book describes the experiences of modern Witches in their own words. I have written my contribution to this book as an academic. I have spent many years studying Witchcraft, but I did not want to write about Witchcraft.

Rather, this book is written with Witches. Witches speak for themselves. Television and film present stereotypes of Witches as either evil people on the margins of society, or gorgeous young women obsessed with fighting demons. Neither of these images of Witchcraft is accurate. Some of the people in this book have university degrees, whereas others have educated themselves. Many work in professional jobs in the media, education, health, information technology and businesses of various types. There are also Witches living in the country on alternative-lifestyle farms and some have written chapters in this book. However, Witchcraft is a religion of the city as much as of the country.

The contributors to this book are Witches who are typically practitioners with years of practice and reflection. Many are leaders of the contemporary Australian Witchcraft movement. Others are relatively inexperienced in Witchcraft, describing it from the perspective of the newly initiated. The contributors represent the diversity of the contemporary Witchcraft movement, with representatives from most of the traditions and varieties of Witchcraft in Australia. I have usually found Witches to be generous people. I have been welcomed into their circles, and have shared many meals and warm cups of tea. I could not have put this book together without the support of these people, too numerous to thank, and who often prefer not to be named anyway. They know who they are. In particular, though, I would like to thank Ambriel and Hiraeth who first encouraged me to work on this book and suggested a list of chapter topics and contributors.

I would also like to thank Lewis, who was Practising the Witch’s Craft one of my first Pagan contacts and who has shown a sustained interest in my research. Witchcraft is a spirituality that celebrates life. I hope that this book goes some way to correcting the many misunderstandings about Witchcraft that still prevail in our society. I, as an academic, remain convinced that the development of a contemporary spirituality is one of the central social issues of our times.
