2 Fig Cookies
1 Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
A Small Knife or Sharp Instrument
Vanilla Extract

Take the two fig cookies and cut them into hearts using the cookie cutter.

Carve his/her initials in one cookie and your initials in the other cookie.

Anoint each cookie with the vanilla extract using your thumb.

Light some candles of your choice (pink, red, purple for love) and burn some
Incense (lavender etc...).

Eat each others cookie by crossing arms (like the bride and groom do with the

After all, if you want real magic, you have to do it yourself, every step of the way, and you can't get that from a book; but the book is surprisingly good at conveying that concept. At the same time, for those who just want to know more about the show, this isn't an authorized book, but it has enough details from the show in it to satisfy most fans. Good job! If you just watch the show for the heck of it. this will enlighten you to the reality of wicca, which is something i wish i could do more, either way, wiccan or not, there is stuff about charmed all the way through, and you'll learn a lot about the most controversial part of the fastest growing religion in america also, magick. SPELL TO EASE A BROKEN HEART
John Shaman

You will need the following ingredients (be sure to charge them all before you
begin):

strawberry tea (one bag)
Small wand or stick from a willow tree
sea salt
2 pink candles
a mirror
one pink drawstring bag
one quartz crystal
a copper penny
1 teaspoon dried jasmine
1 teaspoon orris-root powder
1 tsp. strawberry leaves
1 teaspoon yarrow
10 plus drops apple-blossom oil or peach oil
10 plus drops strawberry oil
a bowl made of china or crystal that is special to you

On a Friday morning or evening (the day sacred to Venus) take a bath in sea salt
in the light of a pink candle. As you dry off and dress, sip the strawberry tea.
Use a dab of strawberry oil as perfume or cologne. Apply makeup or groom
yourself to look your best. Cast a circle with the willow wand around a table
the other ingredients. Light the second pink candle. Mix all oils and herbs in
the bowl. While you stir look at Yourself in the mirror and say aloud: "Oh,
Great Mother Goddess, enclose me in your loving arms and nurture and bring forth
the Goddess within me." Gaze deeply into the mirror after you have finished
mixing the ingredients and say aloud, "I represent the Great Goddess, Mother of
all things. I shine in the light of the Golden Wings of Isis. All that is great
and loving only belongs to me." Then put half the mixture in the pink bag and
add the penny and crystal. Carry it with you always [or until you find another
love]. Leave the other half of the potion in the bowl, out in a room where you
will smell the fragrance. Repeat this ritual every Friday if necessary.

Why a Magical Name?:
Ah, the magical name. So many people find wicca and decide right off the bat that they’re going to name themselves Lady Such-and-Such or Lord Whatsis. Go to a pagan event and you’ll meet more fifteen-year-old Lady Morganas than you can shake a stick at. And it’s virtually guaranteed that within about three months, Lady Morgana will decide her magical name, sometimes called a craft name, is really supposed to be Starfluffle or Moongypsy, and she’ll change it.

In fact, she’ll probably change it two to three times a year.

The Name-of-the-Month Club:
This odd phenomenon, known as the Name-of-the-Month Syndrome, happens most often because the person in question hasn’t taken the time to research and learn, which is crucial to finding the right magical name.

A magical name is unique to the practitioner, and there are several ways to find yours. When you find the right name, you’ll keep it for a long time. In some traditions, it‘s customary to wait until you‘ve studied a year and a day before claiming your magical name. Some Pagans have two magical names -- one which they use in public and one which is known only to the gods and members of the person’s coven.

Think Long-Range:
One method by which people sometimes find their magical name is to simply choose something they like. A problem with this method is that what we like on one day, we may find silly a year down the road. If you’re going to choose a name based on whether it sounds cool or not, stop and think about it. What is it about the name that appeals to you? Ten years from now, are still going to feel comfortable saying, “Hi, I‘m Fairypuddle,” when you meet a new person?

Names with Meaning:
Choose a name not only for its sound, but its attributes as well. For example, someone wishing to convey strength in their name might include “oak“ or “iron“ as part of their moniker. A person who is highly creative might select a name that reflects their art or craft. You may want to choose a name based rooted in folklore or mythology. Many people include the name of an animal that resonates with them. A cautionary note here: in the Pagan community, certain animals pop up all the time. You’ll meet two dozen Ravens and just as many Cats, but it’s unlikely you’ll encounter anyone calling himself Wombat or Penguin.

Names to Avoid:
Another bit of advice -- generally, the titles Lord and Lady are reserved for people who are elders or have a significant amount of leadership experience under their belt. To name oneself Lady So-and-So without any credentials is considered presumptuous by many Pagans. Likewise, in many traditions it’s seen as hubris to give oneself the name of a deity. You may want to choose a name that indicates your dedication to a god or goddess, but don’t co-opt their names. It’s just rude. If you're a dedicant to Apollo, don't call yourself Master Apollo, call yourself something like Apollonius instead.

Using Your Birth Number:
Another popular method of finding a magical name is to choose one that corresponds with your birth number. To find your birth number, begin by adding the digits of your birth date.

If your birthday was September 1, 1966, you would start with the numbers 911966 = 9 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 6 = 32.

Now take those two numbers (3 and 2), and bring it down to a single digit: 3 + 2 = 5. That number -- in this case, 5 -- is your birth number.

Use the grid below to find a name that corresponds to the number 5, by calculating the sum of the corresponding letters.

1 = A, J, S

2 = B, K, T

3 = C, L, U

4 = D, M, V

5 = E, N, W

6 = F, O, X

7 = G, P, Y

8 = H, Q, Z

9 = I, R

Let’s say you’ve decide you like the name Willow. Using the letters in “Willow” you would take the numbers 5 + 9 + 3 + 3 + 6 + 5 = 32. From there, 3 + 2 = 5. If the name you like doesn’t match your birth numbers, try some creative or alternate spellings to see what happens.

A Gift from the Gods:
In some cases, you may be fortunate enough to have your new name bestowed upon you by a god or goddess. In these instances, you may encounter someone in a dream or a vision who tells you, “Your name is Such-and-such.” While you may choose to add to it or come up with a variation on it later, if this happens to you, accept the name as the gift that it is.

Whatever method you end up using, think carefully before you finalize your new name. While it’s okay to change your name later on as you evolve spiritually, changing your name every few weeks or every time you see a new episode of “Charmed” is probably not the best course of action. Find the name that is right for you -- and when it IS the right one, you will know.

As a candle burns it releases not only it's wax but it's color into the atmosphere. What ever has been connected with the candle as in the form of embedded energy or written on the candle will transmigrate to a plane where it can do what you have intended and focused on it to do. A candle, like everything else used for a magickal purpose, has to be consecrated. Use the general consecration for candles. They are creatures of Fire or of Art. Make sure to check the Moon phase before working any spell. The phase of the Moon will greatly affect the outcome of your spell. After consecration a candle must be dressed. This consists of anointing the candle with a special oil you have chosen for the purpose in mind. There are many other things you can do to embed a candle to your purpose. Many superstitions also related to the practice of Hoodoo developed within the Voodoo tradition in Louisiana. While these superstitions are not central to the Voodoo faith, their appearance is partly a result of Voodoo tradition in New Orleans and have since influenced it significantly.

* If you lay a broom across the doorway at night, a witch can't come in and hurt you.
* Having a woman visit you the first thing on Monday mornings is bad luck for the rest of the week.
* Don't borrow or lend salt because that is bad luck.
* If you sweep trash out of the house after dark you will sweep away your luck.
* Don't shake a tablecloth outside after dark or someone in your family will die.
* To stop a Voodoo spell being placed upon you, acquire some bristles from a pig cooked at a Voodoo ritual, tie the bristles into a bundle and carry them on you at all times.
* If a woman sprinkles some salt from her house to yours, it will give you bad luck until you clean the salt away and put pepper over your door sill.
* If a woman wants her husband to stay away from other woman, she can do so by putting a little of her blood in his coffee, and he will never quit her.
* If a woman's husband dies and you don't want her to marry again, cut all of her husband's shoes all in little pieces, just as soon as he is dead, and she will never marry again.
* You can give someone a headache by taking and turning their picture upside down.
* You can harm a person in whatever way you want to by getting a lock of his hair and burning some and throwing the rest away.
* You can make a farmer's well go dry by putting some soda in the well for one week, each day; then drawing a bucket of water out and throwing it in the river to make the well go dry.

In Voodoo spells, the "cure-all" was very popular among followers. The cure-all was a Voodoo spell that could solve all problems. There were different recipes in voodoo spells for cure-all; one recipe was to mix jimson weed with sulphur and honey. The mixture was placed in a glass, which was rubbed against a black cat, and then the mixture was slowly sipped.

The Voodoo doll is a form of gris-gris, and an example of sympathetic magic. Contrary to popular belief, Voodoo dolls are usually used to bless instead of curse. The purpose of sticking pins in the doll is not to cause pain in the person the doll is associated with, but rather to pin a picture of a person or a name to the doll, which traditionally represents a spirit. The gris-gris is then performed from one of four categories: love; power and domination; luck and finance; and uncrossing.

THE ASH TREE SPELL

To gain a prophetic dream of one's future true love, a sprig of the mystical ash
should be plucked with these words:

Even ash, even ash, I pluck thee,
This night my true love for to see;
Neither in his rick or in his rear,
But in the clothes he does every day wear!




THE HEMPSEED SPELL

To cast a spell on one's true love, the prospective bride should sow hempseed
either simply in nine furrows or, According to other accounts, on St.
Valentine's Eve or Midsummer's Eve around a church at the clock strikes
midnight.


Hempseed I sow, hempseed I sow,
The young man that I love
Come after me, and mow.
I sow; I sow;
Then my own dear
Come here, come here:
And mow; and mow!

If the nine-furrow method is used, the charm must be repeated nine times, once
for each furrow. Otherwise just keep chanting until you finish circling the
church. Your true love will look you up the next day. The minister's reaction
to the circle of pot that springs up around his church in a week or so will also
be worth watching for.


A POPPY SPELL

This Italian spell can be adapted to any type of prophetic dream, not merely one
concerned with matters of love.

Make a hold in a poppy pod and empty out the seeds. Now fold up a small piece
of paper with the question you want answered written on it, insert it in the
pod, and place it under your pillow last thing at night, saying these words:

In the name of heaven, the stars and the moon
May I dream, and that full soon,
If this I see [name your wish].
If you dream of your wish, it's sure to come true.



A WILLOW SPELL

Willows were always being used by witches and lovelorn maidens to secure their
heart's desires by supernormal means when all other methods had been exhausted.
Take a green, pliable willow osier, and tie a firm knot in it, uttering these
words as you do:

This knot I tie,
This knot I knit,
For that true love
Whom I know not yet!

Keep the osier hidden in a safe place until your true love turns up.

You will need a new candle, the colour of your choice. Choose something that corresponds with the type of spell you wish to perform. Consecrate the candle and carve a pentagram on it. Say:

"Upon this candle I will write What I receive of thee this night,

Rub anointing oil into the wax of the candle starting at the middle and working your way up to the top as you say:

A pentacle (or pantacle in Thelema) is an amulet used in magical evocation, generally made of parchment, paper or metal (although it can be of other materials), on which the symbol of a spirit or energy being evoked is drawn. It is often worn around the neck, or placed within the triangle of evocation. Protective symbols may also be included (sometimes on the reverse), a common one being the five-point form of the Seal of Solomon, called a pentacle of Solomon or pentangle of Solomon. Many varieties of pentacle can be found in the grimoires of Solomonic magic; they are also used in some neopagan magical traditions, such as Wicca, alongside other magical tools.

Many believe that the pentacle acts as a defense against witch craft. In the past people would scratch the five-pointed star pattern onto their doors in order to deter witches. Witches and sorcerers also formed the pentacle in magic circles in acts of ritual magic. They believed with its powers it could act as a vehicles of transmission in the world of spirits.

The words pentacle and pentagram (a five-point unicursal star) are essentially synonymous, according to the Online Oxford English Dictionary (2007 revision), tracing the etymology through both French and Italian back to Latin, but notes that in Middle French the word "pentacle" was used to refer to any talisman. In an extended use, many magical Authors treat them as distinct. In many tarot decks and in some forms of modern witchcraft, pentacles often prominently incorporate a pentagram in their design.

Pentacles as magical objects

Pentacles, despite the sound of the word, often had no connotation of "five" in the old magical texts, but were, rather, magical talismans inscribed with any symbol or character. When they incorporated star-shaped figures, these were more often hexagrams than pentagrams. Pentacles showing a great variety of shapes and images appear in the old magical grimoires, such as the Key of Solomon; as Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa summarises it, their use was to "fore-know all future things, & command whole nature, have power over devils, and Angels, and do miracles." Agrippa attributes Moses' feats of magic in part to his knowledge of various pentacles.

A Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy (c. 1565) spuriously attributed to Agrippa gives detailed instructions as to how pentacles should be formulated:

But we now come to speak of the holy and sacred Pentacles and Sigils. Now these pentacles, are as it were certain holy signes preserving us from evil chances and events, and helping and assisting us to binde, exterminate, and drive away evil spirits, and alluring the good spirits, and reconciling them unto us. And these pentacles do consist either of Characters of the good spirits of the superiour order, or of sacred pictures of holy letters or revelations, with apt and fit versicles, which are composed either of Geometrical figures and holy names of God, according to the course and maner of many of them; or they are compounded of all of them, or very many of them mixt.

Francis Barrett, in his influential work The Magus of 1801 (Book 2, part 2), repeats these instructions almost verbatim.

Another common design employed in pentacles is a magic square, such as the Sator-Arepo-Tenet square.

In the Golden Dawn magical system, the Earth Pentacle is one of four elemental "weapons" or tools of an Adept. These weapons are "symbolical representations of the forces employed for the manifestation of the inner self, the elements required for the incarnation of the divine." Other pentacles for the evocation of spirits are also employed in the Golden Dawn system; these are engraved with the name and sigil of the spirit to be invoked, inside three concentric circles, having painted on their reverse a circle and cross like a celtic cross.

According to Aleister Crowley's instructions for the Ordo Templi Orientis, the pentacle is a disc of wax, gold, silver-gilt or Electrum Magicum, eight inches diameter and half an inch thick; the Neophyte should "by his understanding and ingenium devise a symbol to represent the Universe", and engrave this on the disc.

There is, therefore, nothing movable or immovable under the whole firmament of heaven which is not included in this pantacle, though it be but 'eight inches in diameter, and in thickness half an inch.' Fire is not matter at all; water is a combination of elements; air almost entirely a mixture of elements; earth contains all both in admixture and in combination. So must it be with this Pantacle, the symbol of earth.

A pentacle is also employed as a magical tool within wicca and other modern forms of witchcraft, generally to summon certain energies or summon spirits.

Many wiccans and Pagans prefer to perform ceremonies and rituals in special robes. If you're part of a coven or group, your robe might have to be a certain color or style. In some traditions, the color of the robe indicates the level of training a practitioner has. For many people, donning the ritual robe is a way of separating themselves from the mundane business of everyday life -- it's a way of stepping into the ritual mindset, of walking from the mundane world into the magical world. Most people prefer to wear nothing at all under their ritual robe, but do what is comfortable for you.

It's not uncommon to have robes for the different seasons, symbolizing the turning Wheel of the Year. You can make one in blue for spring, green for summer, brown for fall, and white for winter -- or any other colors that symbolize the seasons for you. Do take the time to put some thought into your color selection -- it used to be that most Wiccans wore white robes, but many people prefer to use earth tones, because it's a way of establishing one's connection with nature. Some people choose to avoid black, because it sometimes has negative connotations, but use the color that feels right for you.

Anyone can make a robe of their own, and it's not hard to do. If you can sew a straight line, you can make a robe. First of all, for experienced sewers, there are a number of excellent commercially available patterns out there. You can check catalogs at your local fabric store under "Costumes", which is where most of the good robes are hiding out, especially in the "historical" and "Renaissance" categories. Here are some that look nice and can be made without too much sewing experience:

•Simplicity 4795: Believe it or not, this is a set of patterns for a passion play. There's an angel design in here that's fantastic for a ritual robe. You may want to reduce the drop in the sleeves a bit, though, just to keep from setting yourself on fire while lighting candles.
•Simplicity 3623: This pattern is for a Scottish-themed costume, complete with tam. However, it also includes a pattern for a muslin underdress to be worn beneath the bodice and skirt -- this makes a great ritual robe, and can be assembled in just a couple of hours.
•Simplicity 3616: Sure, the wizard costume seems campy, but if you eliminate the trim and the long white beard, it makes a version of the ritual robe that is far more masculine than some of the other patterns.
•McCalls 4490: For more advanced sewers, this lovely Renaissance-style dress can easily be adapted for a ritual robe.

To make a basic robe without buying a pattern, you can follow these simple steps. You'll need the following:

•A piece of material in the color of your choice -- make sure you select something that will be easy to sew and comfortable to wear. On the average, you'll need about three yards, but if you're heavyset or extra-tall, add in some more. A flat bedsheet is actually the perfect size for this.
•Scissors, thread, tailor's chalk, and a measuring tape.
•A sewing machine.
•A length of cord or light rope, approximately 6 feet long.

You'll need some help for this first step, because you need to measure yourself from wrist to wrist with your arms outstretched. Unless you have a third arm, get a friend to do this for you. This measurement will be Measurement A. Next, figure the distance from the nape of your neck to a point even with your ankle -- this will be Measurement B.

Fold the fabric in half (if the material has a print on it, fold it with the pattern side in). Using your A and B measurements, cut out along the lines indicated in Figure 1, making a sort-of T-shape. Don't cut out along the top fold -- that's the part that will go along the top of the arms and shoulders.

Next, cut a hole for your head (X) at the center of Measurement A. Don't make it too big, or your robe will slide off your shoulders! On each side, sew along the underside of the sleeve, leaving an opening at Y for the arms (Figure 2). Then sew from the armpit down to the bottom of the robe. Turn your robe right-side out, try it on, and adjust it for length if needed.

Finally, add a cord around the waist, as shown in Figure 3. In some traditions the cord may be knotted to indicate degrees of training or education. In others, it acts simply as a belt to keep the robe from flapping around during ritual. You can also add trim, beadwork, or magical symbols to your robe. Personalize it, and make it yours. You may also wish to consecrate your robe before wearing it for the first time.

For thousands of years, civilizations all over the world have relied on their faith in spiritual or mystical powers to accomplish truly amazing feats. But is it wise for people today to scoff at all that seemed to work for so many people, for so long?

Long before modern medicine came on the scene, most health concerns were traditionally handled by applying a dose of spirituality, voodoo, witchcraft, astrology, or psychic power from any number of paranormal sources. Just go to eBay and do search on Love Spells or magic spells. You'll find an endless potpourri of psychics and spell casters who can make your problems disappear, or bring you amazing results for just a few dollars. Think that's funny? It gets better. When asked, most people who buy these spells will tell you that they really work... and they do.

So how can a love spell performed by a psychic actually attract a soul mate to a lonely person seeking a love partner? Did that money spell really make that struggling secretary get a job promotion and a salary raise? And what about that healing spell that cured my neighbor's back pain? The unbelievers will likely point to coincidence, some sort of logical explanation, or attribute the results to simply "mind over matter." But those who believe in psychic powers and the paranormal world think otherwise - there must be a spiritual or metaphysical helping hand involved.

As a self-professed psychic and paranormal expert, who has studied spirituality, psychic phenomena and the art of spell casting, I personally believe that there is much more to this than meets the eye. Most mainstream religions accept the power of prayer as a way to receive blessings, protection and goodness from spiritual sources. Even medical professionals are now recognizing that an individual's faith and beliefs can play a major role in improving quality of life and health. However, while many doctors will admit that there is some benefit to holistic and alternative medicines, you'll be pressed to find any who will publicly encourage seeking answers from a psychic or magic spell.

There has always been, and will always be something about the stigma of going to a fortune teller, psychic or spell caster that keeps people from easily accepting their virtues. As an industry, the psychic business has brought on much of this skepticism itself. Shoddy late night television infomercials for psychic readings, con artists or carnival fortune tellers are the images that come to mind for many, when they think of psychics. Just look at how astrology and other psychic-related ads have that tiny disclaimer at the bottom that says "for entertainment purposes only." It's about as phony as pro wrestling, right? Well, don't be too quick to agree.

There are more people than you think who use money or love spells on a regular basis, in an attempt to restore a bad relationship, or gain financial freedom. And these are folks from all walks or life, professions, income levels, religious affiliations and nationalities. Sure, some may rely too much on seeking guidance and help from the psychic world, but most of them are die-hard believers of the occult and would not have it any other way. They will tell you that these spells work for them, their lives have been enriched, and you are the foolish one who doesn't know what you're missing.

People always ask me, "Are these spells real? I mean, can they actually make things happen that I can't do on my own?" If spells can do what they claim they can do (improve love life, attract more money, better luck at gambling) then the answer has to be "Yes." A spell that does what it is supposed to do has got to be real. Of course, it helps if you have a positive outlook, and believe that the spell can truly help you. But if the spell delivers results, then it has to be real. Believers will tell you that those who refuse to open their minds to the possibilities of magic spells and spiritual solutions will never know what they are missing. Perhaps it is the unbelievers who are experiencing "mind over matter," only their mindset is narrowly fixed on the opposite end of the belief scale.

Why limit your world to just the few things you can see and touch? After all, what you see isn't always what you get.

This may be done at any time, but preferably at the same time each day or night.
You will need a Green Candle and a White Candle. The Green candle represents the money, and the white candle represents you. Make sure you annoint the candles with oil first, thinking of your desire for money to come to you. Set the candles on your alter or table 9 inches apart. After doing this say...
"Money, money come to me
In abundance three times three
May I be enriched in the best of ways
Harming none on its way
This I accept, so mote it be
Bring me money three times three!"
Repeat this for nine days. Each day move the white candle one inch closer to the green candle. When the candles touch, your spell is finished. Make sure you visualize the money pouring in from the universe.

So, you want to learn magic spells, but don't know how to do it? There are a couple of options that you can choose from. The first is to buy a magic books. There are lots of books on beginning magic spells. No, the magic spells aren't going to make you fly through the air or become the object of every man's desire (but really, who wants that many men fawning over them and getting jealous?) But, the magic spells that are found in spell books can help you better yourself. There are all different kinds of magic spells. For example, there are money spells, protective spells, traveling spells, good health spells etc. The list is endless. What you're really doing when you're casting a spell is sending out vibes to the universe. In essence, you're saying, "Please help me achieve this goal."

So where can you find these books? Anywhere. You can buy spell books at Amazon, Barnes and Noble or download for free from torrent or sites like darkbooks.org. If you wan't get it from online, find a offline bookstore close to you. And then there are always the witch stores you know, the ones that have incense pouring out of them when you walk by. The books are widely available and not that expensive. And there are as many different spell books as there are magic spells. So before you buy one, you have to decide what you want to do with it.

Another option for learning magic spells is to find a coven near you. You might think you're the only person interested in Wicca, but odds are there's at least one other person in your area that's either interested or practicing. Learning from someone else is much easier than learning from a book.

Covens have vast amounts of knowledge. And a coven doesn't mean thirteen witches. Well, traditionally it does, but in today's society, a coven is how a group of wiccans is referred to, whether they're lead by a High Priestess or not. So really, you only need one or two other people who know what they're doing to help you start out.

Still with me? The other thing that you need to do is become familiar with different herbs and crystals (and stones). They play a big part in most magic spells. For instance, Lapis Lazuli helps your second sight. Tigers Eye is a protective stone. Don't worry if you're not drawn to both herbs and crystals. If one resonates more with you, that's ok. Personally, I'm drawn to crystals much more than herbs. You don't have to memorize every detail about all the herbs and crystals that you'll be using simply because you can always buy books that list their characteristics. But it is good to be familiar with at least some of them. The more familiar you are, the easier spell casting will be. And, you can create your own magic spells or personalize ones that you found in books to fit your needs more specifically. And then you have to practice. Practice, practice, practice. You'll never be good at spellcasting without it. But remember, no matter if you buy a book, or books, about spell casting, or find someone close to you who is a practicing Wiccan. The first rule is this: do no harm. Whatever you send out to the universe comes back to you by three. Send out good vibes, and you'll receive good vibes. Send out bad ones, and you'll get even worse back.

Working Knowledge of the runes



1- Write your intentions on the paper in runes
2- Cast a magick circle, then read what you have Written aloud four times, first
facing east, then south, then west, then north.
3- Fold the paper and place it in the bowl. Place the bowl upon the flat rock,
directly in the center of the pentacle.
4- Place the small stones in a circle around the flat rock, saying the name of
each rune aloud as you set it down.
5- Leave this arrangement in place until the spell has been fulfilled.
