The Pagan Book Of Days A Guide To The Festivals Traditions And Sacred Days Of The Year

The Pagan Book Of Days A Guide To The Festivals Traditions And Sacred Days Of The Year Cover

Book: The Pagan Book Of Days A Guide To The Festivals Traditions And Sacred Days Of The Year by Nigel Pennick

How absolutely fascinating. Two reviewers rate this book lower that they would have if the author had been of their religious preference for that reason alone and consider the author's religious preference a 'drawback'. No denial of the source of these "Christian" holidays, just lower ratings. Mr Pennick's brilliant-as-usual scholarship and fact-finding are of no consequence, just that unsurmountable fact that his religious preference isn't their own. Oddly, both reviewers are from California and both misspell Halloween in the same way, making me speculate that they are in fact the same person....

Beautiful tapping into Celtic, Roman, Egyptian, and other cultural traditions, Nigel Pennick explores the individual significance of almost every day of the year. Pennick reveals some of the mechanics, such as moon phases and equinoxes, underlying many important holidays, and he breaks the year into seasons, months, and even hours, offering a peek into the importance of even the smaller divisions of the year.

Nigel Pennick has produced a stunning little calendar filled with facts, annecdotes, and information useful to all. Extensively researched, cunningly illustrated, the Pagan Book of Days is bound to delight Pagans, scholars, the curious, and the general reader equally. A slim volume, it provokes thought by merely presenting a few simple facts. The curious will go on, the knowledgeable will smile in recognition, and the others will have gained a bit of lore they previously didn't have. (Did you know the grotto at Lourdes was a pagan shrine before the miracle of the "Blessed Mother's" appearance?)

Frankly, if more non-pagans read books of this sort and came to the stunning realization that the vast majority of their holidays were 'borrowed' from pre-Christian European beliefs and rituals, then we pagans would possibly experience less hostility and labeling of 'devil-worshipper' (my hopes however aren't high). Mr Pennick has authored another fine book that will educate readers without resorting to petty attacks upon the religious preferences of others, just good solid scholarship and the presentation of facts in an engaging text and accompanied by delightful illustrations. A fine job!

Rituals Of The Societas Rosicrucianis In Anglia

Rituals Of The Societas Rosicrucianis In Anglia Cover

Book: Rituals Of The Societas Rosicrucianis In Anglia by Anonymous

THE Societas Rosicrucianis in Anglia (or "SRIA") i.e. The Rosicrucian Society of England, was founded in 1866 by Robert Wentworth Little, who had apparently previously attained high rank in a Scottish Rosicrucian order: it was this Order which he claimed granted him a charter to open an English version.

The SRIA attracted the membership of a number of talented men in Rosicrucian circles of the 19th Century, including: Frederick Hockley, the crystal?gazer; Kenneth Mackenzie, compiler of "The Royal Masonic Cyclopaedia" - and the three founder members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, William Woodman, W. Wynn Westcott, and Samuel Liddell Macgregor Mathers. Lord Lytton (Sir Edward Bulwher?Lytton, author of "Zanoni") and Eliphas Levi were both awarded Honorary membership, but there is no evidence they ever attended SRIA meetings.

The SRIA worked nine grades in total: four learning grades,
· Zelator
· Theoricus
· Practicus
· Philosophus
three Teaching grades,
· Adeptus Minor
· Adeptus Major
· Adeptus Exemptus
and two Ruling Grades,
· Magister Templi
· Magus.

Of these, the first seven were the only ones that could usually be attained: however, unlike the Golden Dawn, the SRIA made no pretence that Magistri Templi and Magi were mysterious praeterhuman "Secret Chiefs".

The SRIA proved to be popular enough that Masons in America wanted to set up their own branch. This they did - getting a charter from the English order, to found the "Societas Rosicrucianis in Civitatibus Federatis" i.e. the Rosicrucian Society in the United States. It is from this "SRICF" that the following Rituals derive - they date from around the year 1880. As for these first four rituals themselves - one can make the following observations. They are strikingly different from the Golden Dawn ceremonies for the equivalent grades. Clearly whoever wrote the Golden Dawn Cipher Manuscripts was not deriving them on the SRIA. The ceremonies tell a four part story concerning a member of the original order, Frater Gualdi. Hard at work trying to find the Elixir Vitae, he rang the ceremonial bell in the middle of the night - which announced his success. However, when the other Brethren reached him, he was lying on the floor, apparently dead. The Brethren tried to discover his last secret by consulting the working papers that lay on the bench... The Initiate is therefore put into the role of a Brother trying to piece together Gualdi’s discovery, by investigating Alchemy, Astrology and Astronomy, etc. At the climax of the Philosophus ceremony, the Initiate sees Gualdi return to life - the hymn which is sung at this point giving some telling clues Rituals of the Societas Rosicrucianis in Anglia as to the real nature of the "Elixir Vitae"

The Ethics Of Love Spells

The Ethics Of Love Spells Cover CHARMED, I'M SURE
The Ethics of Love Spells
by Mike Nichols
To gain the love of someone: On a night of the full moon, walk to a spot beneath
your beloved's bedroom window, and whisper his/her name three times to the
nightwind.

--Ozark love spell

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

It seems to be an immutable law of nature. You are interviewed by a local radio
or TV station, or in some local newspaper. The topic of the interview is
Witchcraft or Pagan-ism, and you spend the better part of an hour brilliantly
articulating your beliefs, your devotion to Goddess and nature, the difference
between Witchcraft and Satanism, and generally enlightening the public at large.
The next day, you are flooded with calls. Is it people complimenting you on
such a splendid interview? No. People wanting to find out more about the
religion of Wicca? Huh-uh. People who are even vaguely interested in what you
had to say??? Nope. Who is it? It's people asking you to do a love spell for
them! This used to drive me nuts. I'd take a deep breath and patiently explain
(for the thousandth time) why I won't even do love spells for myself, let alone
anyone else. This generally resulted in my caller becoming either angry or
defensive, but seldom more enlightened. 'But don't you DO magic?', they ask.
'Only occasionally,' I answer. 'And aren't most magic spells love spells?', they
persist. That was the line I really hated, because I knew they were right! At
least, if you look at the table of contents of most books on magic, you'll find
more love spells than any other kind. This seems as true for the medieval
Grimoire as for the modern drugstore paperback.

Why? Why so many books containing so many love spells? Why such an emphasis on a
kind of magic that I, personally, have always considered very negative? And to
make matters even more confusing, the books that do take the trouble of dividing
spells between 'positive' and 'negative' magic invariably list love spells
under the first heading. After all, they would argue, love is a good thing.
There can never be too much of it. Therefore, any spell that brings about
love must be a GOOD spell. Never mind that the spell puts a straightjacket on
another's free will, and then drops it in cement for good measure.
And that is why I had always assumed love magic to be negative magic. Years ago,
one of the first things I learned as a novice Witch was something called the
Witch's Rede, a kind of 'golden rule' in traditional Witchcraft. It states, 'An
it harm none, do what thou will.' One uses this rede as a kind of ethical
litmus test for a spell. If the spell brings harm to someone -- anyone
(including yourself!) -- then don't do it! Unfortunately, this rule contains a
loophole big enough to fly a broom through. It's commonly expressed, 'Oh, this
won't HARM them; it's really for their own good.' When you hear someone say
that, take cover, because something especially nasty is about to happen.

That's why I had to develop my own version of the Witch's Rede. Mine says that
if a spell harms anyone, OR LIMITS THEIR FREEDOM OF THOUGHT OR ACTION IN ANY
WAY, then consider it negative, and don't do it. Pretty strict, you say?
Perhaps. But there's another law in Witchcraft called the Law of Threefold
Return. This says that whatever power you send out, eventually comes back to you
three times more powerful. So I take no chances. And love spells, of the
typical make-Bobby-love-me type, definitely have an impact on another's free
will.

So why are they so common? It's taken me years to make peace with this, but I
think I finally understand. The plain truth is that most of us NEED love.
Without it, our lives are empty and miserable. After our basic survival needs
have been met, we must have affection and companionship for a full life. And if
it will not come of its own accord, some of us may be tempted to FORCE it to
come. And nothing can be as painful as loving someone who doesn't love you back.
Consequently, the most common, garden-variety spell in the world is the love
spell.

Is there ever a way to do a love spell and yet stay within the parameters of the
Witch's Rede? Possibly. Some teachers have argued that if a spell doesn't
attempt to attract a SPECIFIC person into your life, but rather attempts to
attract the RIGHT person, whomever that may be, then it is not negative magic.
Even so, one should make sure that the spell finds people who are 'right' for
each other -- so that neither is harmed, and both are made happy.

Is there ever an excuse for the make-Bobby-love-me type of spell? Without
endorsing this viewpoint, I must admit that the most cogent argument in its
favor is the following: Whenever you fall in love with someone, you do
everything in your power to impress them. You dress nicer, are more attentive,
witty, and charming. And at the same time, you unconsciously set in motion some
very powerful psychic forces. If you've ever walked into a room where someone
has a crush on you, you know what I mean. You can FEEL it. Proponents of this
school say that a love spell only takes the forces that are ALREADY there --
MUST be there if you're in love -- and channels them more efficiently. But the
energy would be there just the same, whether or not you use a spell to focus it.

I won't attempt to decide this one for you. People must arrive at their own set
of ethics through their own considerations. However, I would call to your
attention all the cautionary tales in folk magic about love spells gone awry.
Also, if a love spell has been employed to join two people who are not naturally
compatible, then one must keep pumping energy into the spell. And when one
finally tires of this (and one will, because it is hard work!) then the spell
will unravel amidst an emotional and psychic hurricane that will make the
stormiest divorces seem calm by comparison. Not a pretty picture. It should be
noted that many spells that pass themselves off as love spells are, in reality,
sex spells. Not that there's anything surprising in that, since our most basic
needs usually include sex. But I think we should be clear from the outset what
kind of spell it is. And the same ethical standards used for love spells can
often be applied to sex spells. Last year, the very quotable Isaac Bonewits,
author of 'Real Magic', taught a sex magic class here at the Magick Lantern, and
he tossed out the following rule of thumb: Decide what the mundane equivalent of
your spell would be, and ask yourself if you could be arrested for it. For
example, some spells are like sending a letter to your beloved in the mail,
whereas other spells are tantamount to abduction. The former is perfectly legal
and normal, whereas the latter is felonious.

One mitigating factor in your decisions may be the particular tradition of magic
you follow. For example, I've often noticed that practitioners of Voudoun
(Voodoo) and Santeria seem much more focused on the wants and needs of day-to-
day living than on the abstruse ethical considerations we've been examining
here. That's not a value judgment -- just an observation. For example, most
followers of Wicca STILL don't know how to react when a Santerian priest spills
the blood of a chicken during a ritual -- other than to feel pretty queasy. The
ethics of one culture is not always the same as another.

And speaking of cultural traditions, another consideration is how a culture
views love and sex. It has often been pointed out that in our predominant
culture, love and sex are seen in very possessive terms, where the beloved is
regarded as one's personal property. If the spell uses this approach, treating a
person as an object, jealously attempting to cut off all other relationships,
then the ethics are seriously in doubt. However, if the spell takes a more open
approach to love and sex, not attempting to limit a person's other relationships
in any way, then perhaps it is more defensible. Perhaps. Still, it might be
wise to ask, Is this the kind of spell I'd want someone to cast on me?

Love spells. Whether to do them or not. If you area practitioner of magic, I
dare say you will one day be faced with the choice. If you haven't yet, it is
only a matter of time. And if the answer is yes, then which spells are ethical
and which aren't? Then you, and only you, will have to decide whether 'All's
fair in love and war', or whether there are other, higher, metaphysical
considerations.

The Art Of True Healing

The Art Of True Healing Cover

Book: The Art Of True Healing by Israel Regardie

Within every man and woman is a force which directs and controls the entire course of life. Properly used, it can heal every affliction and ailment to which mankind is heir. Every single religion affirms this fact. All forms of mental or spiritual healing, no matter under what name they travel, promise the same thing. Even psychoanalysis employs this power, though indirectly, using the now popular word libido. For the critical insight and Understanding which it brings to bear upon the psyche releases tensions of various kinds, and through this release the healing power latent within and natural to the human system operates more freely. Each of these systems undertakes to teach its devotees technical methods of thinking or contemplation or prayer such as will, according to the a priori terms of their own philosophies, renew their bodies and transform their whole environment.

None or few of them, however, actually fulfil in a complete way the high promise made at the outset. There seems but little understanding of the practical means whereby the spiritual forces underlying the universe and permeating the entire nature of man may be utilised and directed towards the creation of a new heaven and a new earth. Naturally, without Universal co-operation, such an ideal is impossible for all mankind. Nevertheless, each one for himself may commence the task of reconstruction. The crucial question, then, is how are we to become aware of this force? What are its nature and properties? What is the mechanism whereby we can use it?

The Art Of Casting Spells

The Art Of Casting Spells Cover
"A spell is a symbolic act

done in an altered state of consciousness

in order to cause a desired change."

To cast a spell is to project energy through a symbol. It is important to note that the energy is what is key, not the symbol; too often, the symbols are mistaken for the agent that casts the spell. While props are useful at times, it is the mind that works the magic. Correspondences between colors, planets, metals, numbers, plants and minerals, and musical notes make up a great deal of magical lore, and particular objects, shapes, colors, scents, and images do work better than others to embody certain ideas. The most powerful spells are often improvised from materials that feel right or that simply happen to come to hand, however.

THEORY OF SPELLCASTING

Spells are an important aspect of magical training. They require the use of the combined faculties of relaxation, visualization, concentration and projection. The casting of spells provides practice in coordinating these skills and developing them further. Spells are extremely sophisticated psychological tools that have subtle, but important, effects on a person's inner growth. Spells may highlight otherwise hidden complexes of the person casting the spell.

A person who has conflicts about success will find great difficulty in concentrating on a money spell, for example. Many times the practical results of a spell are far less important than the psychological insights that arise during the magical work, for discovering our inner blocks and fears is the first step in overcoming them. Spells also go one step further than most forms of psychotherapy, in that they allow us not only to listen to and interpret the unconscious, but also to speak to it in the language it understands.

Symbols, images, and objects used in spells communicate directly with Younger Self, who is the guardian of our emotions and who is barely affected by the intellect. We often understand our feelings and behavior but find ourselves unable to change them, but through spells, we can attain the most important power - the power to change our lives.

Spellcasting also forces us to come to terms with the material world. Many people attracted to the spiritual path of the Craft find themselves uneasy with using magic for practical or material goals. Somehow it seems wrong to work magic for oneself, to want things and to get things. This is an attitude which is a holdover of the Judeo-Christian world view that sees spirit and matter as separate and that identifies matter with evil and corruption.

In the Craft, flesh, the material world, none of what is commonly thought of as matter is separate from spirit. The universe is made up of the Goddess who is manifest in all things. Union with the Goddess comes through embracing the material world and all the gifts that She has placed in it for us. Our major task on this plane of existence is to become masters of this realm of manifestation. We do not fight self-interest; we follow it, but with an awareness that transmutes it into something sacred.

MECHANICS OF SPELLCASTING

Spellcasting is the lesser, not the greater magic; but the greater magic builds on the lesser. The paradox is that in spellcasting we may start out working with the personal self, but in order to work the magic we are forced to expand and recognize the Self that moves through all beings.

Magic involves the deliberate self-identification with other objects and people. For example, to do a healing, we must become the healer, the one who is healed, and the energy that is to do the healing. To attract love, we must be able to love ourselves and to become love its self.

Spells work in two basic ways. The first is through suggestion; symbols and images implant certain ideas in Younger Self, or the subconscious mind, and we are then influenced to actualize those ideas. Spells can also influence the external world.

The theoretical model that witches use to explain the workings of magic is a clear one and coincides in many ways with the "new" physics. It is simply an elaborate but extremely useful metaphor. The metaphor is based on a world view that sees things not as fixed objects, but as vortexes of energy. The physical world is formed by the vortexes of energy, and if we cause a change in the energy patterns they, in turn, cause a change in the physical world. When our own energy is concentrated and channeled, it can move the broader energy currents. The images and objects used in spells are the channels. They are the vessels through which our power is poured, and by which it is shaped.

As energy is directed into the images we visualize, it gradually manifests physical form and takes shape in the material world. Directing energy is not a matter of simply emoting. Emotion can be likened to a strobe light which provides a very inconstant light, while directed energy is more like a laser beam. Even concentrated power is a small stream compared with the vast surges of energy that surround us. The most adept witch cannot be successful in all her spells, for the opposing currents are often too strong.

The craft teaches to first identify the flow of energy and then to decide whether or not it is going where we want it to go. If it is not, then we can try to deflect it, or we may have to change our own course. Sensing the energy climate is a matter of intuition and experience. Some witches make a study of Astrology in an effort to plan their magical workings at the optimal times, while others prefer to work when they feel the time is right.

Of all the planets, the Moon's influence on subtle energies is the strongest. Subtle power increases as the Moon waxes, so the time of the waxing Moon is best for spells involving growth or increase, such as money spells. The power peaks when the Moon is full and that is the best time for workings of culmination and love. During the waning Moon, power subsides and turns inward. The waning Moon's period is used for banishings, bindings, and discovering hidden secrets. The practical witch soon learns to adjust her spells to fit the time of the Moon. If, for example, she needs to do a money spell during the waning Moon, she would put a little 'English' on it and make it a poverty banishing spell.

Energy pursues the path of least resistance. Material results are more easily achieved on this plane of existence through physical actions than through magical workings. For example, it is simpler to lock your door than suffer the constant drain from maintaining psychic seals on your doors and windows while you are away from home. Of course, once you have locked your door, you might feel more reassured by placing seals on it.

No magic spell is going to bring results unless channels are opened into the material world. For example, a job spell is useless if you are not willing to go out and interview for jobs or at least let potential employers know that you are in the market for one. In the same vein, a healing spell is no substitute for medical care.

Most medicine today can be broken down into two broad categories, emergency medicine and that which is not needed for immediate life-threatening situations. Emergency medicine has excelled at stabilizing the body's condition so that it can repair itself at its own pace. Most other forms of medicine consist of treatment through surgery or chemotherapy or a combination of both. The procedures noted above work on the physical body and do not take the other levels into consideration. Psychic healing works at healing the higher levels of the person so that the physical heals itself or allows the person to let go of their physical body if it cannot be repaired. In either case, the choice rests with the person who is being healed and not the healer.

Visualization used in creating a spell should focus on the desired result, not the individual steps leading up to the result. We give the spell free rein in how it goes about achieving the results with the understanding that it is not to bring harm to anyone or any being. For this reason, spells have a habit of working in very unexpected ways.

To assure that the power we have unleashed does not inadvertently cause harm, we bind the spell. This serves to 'set' the form we have created so that the energy becomes fixed in the pattern we desire. The energy we project to others affects us even more strongly than the other person. This is because we have generated the energy, and thus we have become the object at which the energy is directed. If healing energy is sent out, then the health of the person casting the spell is enhanced. By the same token, any hex or curse that is sent out ALWAYS affects the person who sends it no matter whether it affected the person it was sent at or not.

MAGIC IS NOT TO BE USED TO GAIN POWER OVER OTHERS. Magic is a technique used in developing your own 'power from within.' Spells that are directed at gaining power over others weaken the 'power from within.' Aside from the damage done to oneself, it is important for another reason. Many people who do not understand the laws of magic are afraid of being attacked magically and are given to paranoia. The witch's main stock-in-trade used to be removing a competitor's hexes and preparing charms to protect their clients. While true psychic attacks are EXTREMELY RARE, a person's guilt makes up for any lack, and after using 'forbidden' help, their paranoia leads them to seek protection from the same person they just turned to in desperation. Do yourself a favor, and resist the temptation to 'help' these types. Most magical formularies consist of formulae gathered and tested by witches as well as many charms to protect the common man from those same witches who sold them their charms.

TIMES AND CORRESPONDENCES

I mentioned earlier that timing and the right props are considered important in spellcasting. Over the years, systems of Correspondences were developed which assigned certain attributes and aspects to the seven ancient planets of Astrology. Each planet was assigned a God or Goddess, who embodies the attributes the ancients wished to invoke. Each of the Gods and Goddesses were assigned an hour of the day, color, incense, metal, number, signature, plant, mineral, musical note, and animal or bird.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR CASTING SPELLS

Set aside a room for your magical work. Decorate it with things that put you in a magical mood. Remember to use things that stimulate all five of your physical senses. Some obvious things would be the use of appropriate colors for sight, incense for scent, music for hearing, wines for taste, and textures for feel.

If you do not have a room you can set aside exclusively for your magical work, then choose a room that can be locked while you do your work. This will allow you to work undisturbed. In any case, you should clean your work area periodically with a purifying powder/floorwash to keep away negative vibrations.

Set up an altar to be used as your worktable. It's size and shape should be those that appeal to you. Placing candles and other items that assist you to concentrate on the work at hand is a good practice. Some people like to cover their altar with a white cloth and place fresh cut flowers on it every day.

Always use the best candles, oils, and incenses that you can afford, or make your own, for scrimping on materials has a negative effect on the subconscious. Don't forget that the subconscious is very good at making do with raw materials that it can shape to its own use.

Never cast a spell until you have a clear and concise picture of what it is you wish to accomplish. This ties in with the saying "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

Always ground out any extra energy you raise for the spell, and bind the spell so that it expires within the pre-determined amount of time. Once you have cast the spell, do not discuss it with any one until after it has worked. Most spells peter out because the person who cast it boasts about it to so many people, that the spell is robbed of power before it has a chance to work. The ancient bond placed on the magician was to dare, to know and to keep silent.

Above all, at all times, remember the Rede: "An ye harm none, do what you will." You do not know all the effects of your spell, therefore, use magick sparingly, if at all.

Now you can learn how to evoke and communicate with 50 spirit entities and make use of their abilities, when you get Summoning Spirits by Konstantinos.

Evoking spirits is one of the Most Powerful magical techniques you can use-but, until now, most of the material available on evocation has been virtually unusable because it was written by those with little practical evocation experience. Summoning Spirits was written by a practicing magician who has successfully performed many evocations. With his guidance and clear directions, performing evocations will be easy and safe for anyone.

- Learn to safely evoke powerful spirits to aid you with any task

No other book makes this ancient magical technique as easy to understand and use, as does this one. That's why you must get Summoning Spirits.

"Summoning Spirits" is the one of best books I have read so far in regards to the ancient and powerful art of magickal evocation. Although I have only just recently purchased this book, I have found it to be very informative, educational and interesting. As an individual aspiring to master this ancient magickal art, and science, I had found Konstantinos's advice and guidance quite beneficial about only working with benevolent spirits such as Angelic, Planetary and Elementary entities. However, I will be looking forward to summoning the Goetic entities as well, as I believe that a magician should have a 'magickal and spiritual balance' between both benevolent and malevolent entities, in addition to mastering them. All in all, a great book for a magician wishing to practice magickal evocation. In addition, I am especially looking forward to evoking the divine and beautiful Archangels and striving to unite and become 'one' with Divinity, which Konstantinos mentions is the 'true' defintion and purpose of magick. A truly magickal and spiritually inspiring book. I know that I will always enjoy and value keeping it as part of my personal magickal library to cherish, reflect upon, and treasure the ancient magickal wisdom and power within it.

He has written over two dozen books; has had numerous articles published in magazines and newspapers; has appeared on many TV shows; and has worked as a technical advisor on movies and stage productions. I am very lucky to know Ray, and the metaphysical world should be thankful that he shares his learning with us.

Practical Candleburning Rituals is one of his most popular books, and rightly so. Hundreds of thousands of people use it as a guide to simple, practical, powerful, and usable magic on a daily basis. There are three reasons you should use this book, too.

First, if you have never done any sort of magic before, this book is an ideal introduction to the subject from a practical point of view.
Second, although many people are involved in Pagan religions, many others are involved in Christianity. Most of the rituals in this book are presented in two ways, one for Pagans and one for Christians. This book can really be used by just about anyone.

Third, by practicing the techniques in this book, you'll learn the underpinnings of magic. In no time you'll be able to come up with your own rituals based on the ones listed.
When you can design your own rituals, and be successful with them, you will truly be a magician. And the place to start is with this book.

To Find A Lover

To Find A Lover Cover
TO FIND A LOVER

On the day of a new moon, cut a red heart out of new red crepe paper or card. If
you have a wild rose, use a fallen petal that is heart shaped. Take a clean
sheep of white paper and with a pen no one else has used, write on it this
incantation:

AS THIS RED HEART GLOWS
IN CANDLELIGHT,
I DRAW YOU, LOVER,
CLOSER TO ME
THIS NIGHT.

Then bathe and change into night clothes. When you're ready light a red candle
and red the spell aloud. Hold the heart in front of the flame and let the
candlelight shine upon it.
Then place the heart and spell in a new envelope and seal it with wax from the
candle.
Conceal the envelope and leave it undisturbed for one cycle of the moon, which
is twenty-eight days from the day you began your spell. By the time the moon is
new, there should be new love in your life.

Italian Passion Spell

Italian Passion Spell Cover Use this spell to affect someone who desires you, yet is shy in expressing their
feelings. Start by melting some red candle wax and molding it in the shape of a
phallus if you are female, or a womb if you are male. Once the wax has dried,
sensuously anoint the candle with olive oil, as if you were attending your
lover, thinking hard on the intimacy you desire as you do so. Light the candle.
Now, write your lovers name three times on a piece of white paper, and burn it
in the flaming wick, praying that your lover will come to you. While the paper
burns, recite your lovers name out loud three times, then blow out the candle.
Try to wait patiently for your lover to respond to your magic.

Tarot Love Spell

Tarot Love Spell Cover When you do a spell to attract someone, the spell actually begins to change
you, and not them. In the craft, magick changes our internal world. When that
world changes the external world changes, never visa versa. So the spell must
include your needs and desire to change for the highest good. One last thing,
be very careful, in magick, for what you ask for, the Goddess may give it!!
Include the following cards for your love spell: Meditate on each card. We use
the Major Arcana because of it spiritualness in nature. True Love is
spiritual, not physical. The physical body dies, the spirit never dies.
1. Her significator, his significator.
2. The Lovers = Highest choices.
3. Hermit = Love is Spiritual in nature.
4. Magician = The magick of your life and his.
5. Universe = The Universe blesses your life.
6. Chariot = Controlling the magick within first.
7. Death = Lessons learned, willing to change.
8. Wheel of Fortune = Allow the Lord and Lady to work things out in their time.
Locate Anoiting oil, a 7 day pink candle (to find one, go to your local 99 cent
store or metaphysical store), a piece of string, and a rose.
Rose incense is also ok to burn during the magick.
Preparation for Magick
Set up the following on your altar:
- Light the incense.
- Place your two significator cards together touching each other, side by side.
- Place the candle on top your two cards
- Surround the candle with the Major arcana card forming a circle. As you
place each card, meditate on each card and its given meaning.
- Place the rose somewhere in the layout.
- With the anoiting oil, bless the candle, and infuse it with the following
words!

*** I do anoint you oh candle of love. Firstly, I send any negative and
disharmonious energies back into the ethers. Secondly, I send Healing, Love,
and Light to my Relationship with [his name], in the name of the Lord and Lady.
Thirdly, I charge thee ol candle of Love to rekindle the fires between me and
[his Name/her Name]. If by the will of the Lord and Lady, come to me my love.
So mote it be!

- Now tie the string around the candle and repeat 3 times with love in your
heart :
*** I do re-bind the strings of our love. So mote it be!
- Spend a few moments, meditating about the magick done!
- Allow the candle to burn completely out!
- Do not move your layout, until the candle's flame is finished, 7 days later.
- Every time you see your layout, send to the flames of the candle, Perfect
love and perfect trust!
- Go on with your life and allow the Lord and Lady to work their magick in your
life!
